Nolan’s hand lingered against her face.
Just for a second.
But it was enough to completely destroy whatever remained of Kylie’s ability to think clearly.
The office felt too warm now.
Too small.
Every breath between them seemed louder somehow.
Kylie still held his wrist loosely while blood streaked across his knuckles beneath her fingers. Adrenaline crackled through the room, sharp and electric, mixing dangerously with the tension already burning between them.
