chapter 4: Interview

Gu Ming just finished a long meeting with the boards of directors about a new project. He was going for an inspection, and the directors followed him as usual flattering him with one word and the other. He was already used to such flattering and butt licking, so he just ignore them. Gu Ming was already at his wit end and was about to lash on them when he saw a strange but familiar face , he was suprised, he couldn't believe that the same woman that has been on his thoughts was right there ... walking in opposite direction. he saw how she hid herself

"oh it seems she saw me, let's see how long you can hide .... wild cat .. so cute" Gu Ming taught

Gu Ming turned to the board of directors" you may leave" he said coldly . though they were suprised why the sudden change, they didn't question him, they left him.

Gu Ming and assistant Lu were the only ones left standing there, assistant Lu couldn't think of any reason why they are standing still, so he gathered his courage and asked

" Young Master?"

"check what is happening in the PR department and report to my office"

" hmm sir, the PR department are conducting interviews for the position of sales manager"

" so she's here for an interview huh.." Gu Ming thought just to be sure " get the CV of all the candidates to be interviewed in 10 minutes"

......

10 minutes later assistant Lu brought the files containing all the interviewee details.

Gu Ming check the file until he saw the photo of her , the one that he was searching for

he began reading the details..." so.. her name is Quig Fen... "

"her details wasn't much, but it was useful. what caught his interest was the fact that she dropped out of school he was curious to know why .... from the details, she attended prestigious school, so why did she dropout..."

well no rush but he still thought Quig Fen would suit better as his secretary rather that a sales manager ...

interview hall ~~

Quig Fen was sitting quietly and looking at the number given to each person. she was number 25, relatively near because they were more than 100 persons.

" did you know that the CEO is so handsome too bad he won't be interviewing us in person"

"well you have not even gotten the job you are already thinking of how to seduce the CEO "

" I wasn't talking to you can you just mind your business, and who said I am not getting the job, I graduated from Peking University" the girl said proudly

"please we are still waiting for the interview, stop the drama and even if you get the job there's no chance of meeting the CEO... he doesn't interact with just anybody" ....

the more Quig Fen listen to different gossip and argument going around her, the more she felt her chance of getting the job is close to null,. just when she was thinking of leaving the interview hall .

"number 25!"

" damn! it was already her turn, she couldn't leave now" she thought, so she went into the office ......

5 minutes later Quig Fen came out of the office and went home .

Quig Fen's apartment~

Jun Hua walked into the apartment and casually throw her bag on the couch " damn am so famish, Fenfen is there any food?" . Quig Fen walked out of the kitchen with two bowl of noodles

" I just finished cooking, you came just in time , come let's dig in" Quig Fen place the bowl of noodles on the table and proceed to get water from the water dispenser.

" Fenfen you are truly a life saver... you don't know how many of those arrogant people, I had to attend to today and to make matter worse my work partner didn't come". Jun Hua rambled.

Quig Fen sighed. ' Jun Hua work as a cleaner at Wang Cooperation which is one of the top real estate companies in the city. although her work was stressful, the pay was very good so she had to put up with the challenge.

"How was the interview" Jun Hua asked Quig Fen while they were eating their dinner

Quig Fen recall how she answered the questions asked perfectly and how impressed the interviewers were, but when her CV was check , they saw that she didn't have the qualifications, though they said they will get back to her, she wasn't optimistic because she had encounter same situation many times and she didn't want to get her hopes high. so she told Jun Hua.. " Hua 'er I'm not optimistic about it"

"sighed" Jun Hua felt a genuine pang of heart ache for her friend." don't worry even if you don't get this one we can always search for another one ...their loss " she comforted Quig Fen.

Same Evening - Gu Ming's office~

Gu Ming calmly waited in his office till the interview was over. he didn't want to intervene but he couldn't miss this opportunity of making Quig Tai work fo him.

"didn't she have a running mouth the other day, let's see how prideful she would be when she discovers that she will be under him" . Just imagining how Quig Fen expression will be when she knows his identity, makes him more comfortable .

Gu Ming took the telephone" Assistant Lu, get the hiring manager here"

" ok sir"

few minutes later, Assistant Lu knocked the door and enter into Gu Ming's office, behind him was the hiring officer, who was sweating profusely..... he didn't know why the great Young Master Gu sent for him ....

" Young Master, you sent for me"

" you're done with the hiring of a sales manager huh?". For some reason the sales manager felt he did something wrong. he was very nervous, Gu Ming have never asked about irrelevant issues as this... his sudden question made him scared.

" y..yes sir. her name is su mian she graduated from a prestigious university ...her CV is impressive, she.." Gu Ming signaled him with a wave of his hand that he didn't want to hear anymore

" what about this candidate" Gu Ming throwed the file containing Quig Fen's details to the hiring manager

" oh sir, this girl was quite impressive but she didn't have the right qualifications as you see in the file she didn't finish her education" . the hiring manager was thinking why the CEO is interested in this girl

Gu Ming looked at the hiring manager, his gaze unfathomable making it hard to know what he is thinking " do this......."
