Chapter 3 - Marked by the Alpha

768 Words
Sienna barely had time to breathe before Kieran was on her again. One moment, she was scrambling to her feet, desperate to put distance between them. The next, she was pinned against a tree, her wrists trapped above her head in a single strong hand. Her chest heaved as she struggled, but it was no use. He was too strong. Too dominant. His body pressed into hers, unyielding, burning with restrained power. “I should punish you for running.” His voice was deep, low, a warning and a promise. Sienna’s pulse pounded. Not out of fear. Out of something darker. Something she didn’t dare name. Kieran’s gaze dropped to her lips, and a slow smirk curved the edges of his mouth. “You like being hunted, don’t you?” She turned her head away, refusing to answer. His fingers released one of her wrists, only to trail down her arm, leaving a tingling path in their wake. When he reached her waist, he gripped her hip, pressing her fully against him. Sienna’s breath hitched. Goodness! he was hard everywhere. Kieran leaned in, his lips grazing the shell of her ear. “Your scent tells me everything, little rogue.” He inhaled deeply, making her shiver. “You want to fight it, but you can’t.” Her skin burned. Her wolf whimpered inside her, recognizing the strength of the Alpha before them. Recognizing him as hers. No. No, this couldn’t happen. She needed to fight. To resist. But when Kieran’s hand slid lower, gripping the back of her thigh and lifting it around his waist, all rational thought fled. Sienna’s lips parted, a sharp gasp escaping as her core pressed against the hard ridge of his arousal. Heat shot through her, pooling low in her belly. Kieran groaned, his forehead dropping against hers. “F*ck, Sienna.” His breathing was ragged, his control slipping. “You feel this too.” She hated that he was right. She hated that her traitorous body arched into him, craving more. “Let me go,” she whispered, but her voice lacked conviction. Kieran chuckled,Kieran chuckled, the sound dark and knowing. “Let you go?” His fingers dug into her thigh, pressing her closer. “Is that really what you want?” Sienna’s nails bit into the bark behind her, every nerve in her body betraying her. She should say yes. She should fight. But she didn’t. Because the truth was, she wasn’t sure if she wanted him to stop. Kieran tilted his head, his silver eyes gleaming in the moonlight. “Say the word, little rogue.” His lips hovered just above hers, so close she could feel his heat. “Tell me to stop.” Sienna opened her mouth, ready to push him away, ready to deny everything. But then he moved. Slowly, deliberately, he rolled his hips against hers. A sharp gasp tore from her throat, her fingers clenching into his arms. A fire ignited inside her, hot, consuming, unbearable. Kieran growled low in his throat, a sound so raw, so possessive, it made her knees weak. His grip tightened, holding her in place as he did it again. A slow, torturous grind. Sienna whimpered before she could stop herself. Goddess, what was he doing to her? Kieran’s smirk deepened, but his own control was fraying. His breathing was rough, his muscles coiled tight. His lips brushed against her jaw, then lower, grazing her throat. His teeth scraped against the delicate skin, not quite biting, but close. A warning. A tease. A promise of what was to come. Sienna’s entire body shuddered. Her wolf pushed forward, yearning for the bond. Kieran’s tongue flicked against her pulse, tasting her, claiming her without a single word. “Mine,” he murmured, his voice pure sin. Something inside Sienna snapped. “No.” With a surge of defiance, she yanked her wrist free and shoved against his chest, using every ounce of strength she had. Kieran stumbled back, his eyes flaring with surprise and something deeper. Sienna’s breath came in ragged gasps. She could still feel him against her, the ghost of his touch seared into her skin. His jaw was tight, his fists clenched at his sides. He looked like a predator barely restraining himself. For a long moment, neither of them moved. Then, Kieran’s lips curled into a slow, wicked smile. “Run again, little rogue.” His voice was dark, dangerous. “But know this, next time, I won’t stop.” A shiver ran down Sienna’s spine. Because she knew the truth. She wanted him to catch her.
