Greg knocked on the door. It was a nice house, well looked after and tidy. They waited a couple of moments. When nothing happened, Greg raised his hand to knock a second time but as he lifted his hand he heard locks being undone and the door opened a little.
“Yes?” Came a soft female voice. The room behind her was dark so they couldn’t quite make her out.
“Ms. Lei Chiang?” Greg asked in a soft tone of his own.
“Yes,” She said, the door not opening any more than it was.
“I’m Detective Inspector Greg Salzburg, and this is my partner Detective Constable Suzy Matthews.” Greg introduced and held up his warrant card so she could see it. “Could we possibly come in and have a chat with you?”
“Is this concerning my sister?” The girl asked.
