“What time?”
“8 pm,” the driver replied.
“Don't bother, I will pick her up instead,” I said through the phone and ended the call. It was 7:30 pm, and I should be at her workplace in a few minutes if I leave now.
I was heading home from the site, thinking of her and what I wanted to discuss. Given the nature of our relationship, the car seemed like the best place to talk.
I needed to inform her about my announcement at the board meeting and how her reaction and presence were crucial.
I drove to the bar and arrived about ten minutes before 8 pm. I decided to send her a message to let her know I was there: “I'm parked outside the bar.” I contemplated for a few minutes before finally sending it.
