Chapter 11

**Brayden’s POV**

I could since everyone around me was on edge waiting to hear that they have made it to the pack safe. Mom has been badly holding together she just wants to see Ed and the girls. Finally well as stand as Dylan mind links us all. “ Hey we just passed through the gate and are stopping at the mall to get the right attire for tonight. Give them a little breathing room before we get there. Should be like an hour if the girls don’t take forever.” Mom is out the door and in the elevator before he was half way through linking us. Shortly we all head down. Since we had an hour I sent sand to look over everything one last time and to go check with the kitchen staff and the house omegas that every thing is going as planned. Mom dad and I are all waiting in a sitting area near the front door just waiting for them to come in. My mom is going to create a path in the floor from the way she’s pacing back and forth. She knows they are okay but can’t believe till she lays eyes on them and feels them. So far nothing has been found and when some of the guys my got to their everything had been burnt to ash. They also strung up the the rank members to put on display. My men gotta as much evidence and they could and have the ranked members a proper burial. Dad and I havnt told mom or anyone else yet we are waiting till we get back to my office after the dinner tonight.

Suddenly the sound of cars pulling up snaps all of us out of our heads. Mom is already out the door by the time I’m out she already has Ed, Meg and Rae in her arms. After a few minutes I clear me throat watching them all pull away I see Raelynns face. Ed comes up and I give him a hug keeping Raelynn in sight. I was certainly correct about making mean fall to their knees for her. He long sandy blonde hair looked almost golden in the sun, her deep green eyes have a dark out line around them that makes them stand out, and her lips just draw you in. After tell Ed I’m sorry for his loss and that we are here I pulled away and introduced my self to Meagan. Rae still is looking at me like a deer in headlights I like that she’s still affected by me like this. Without even realizing I bend down and wrap my arms around her waist and lift her into a hug she seems confused at first then gives in. Her arms wrap around my neck and I breathe in her scent she smells good it’s soothing. I realize how long I had been holding her and put her down I can’t help but smirk just wish she would have wrapped his tiny fit legs around. Jeez I need to calm down I havnt thought something like that for 5 years now. “ Hey little Rae it’s good to see you again I’m sorry this what brought you back here but I’m glad yall came here. I based a lot of what I wanted to do more as an Alpha off your dad he was a great man.” I say trying to get the thoughts out of my head I see the tears build in her abyss of green eyes. She takes a deep breaths and closes her eyes I want to bring her back in for a hug but I stop.

“ Alpha Brayden thank you for letting us take refuge and join Black Moon. I don’t know what we would have done with out your packs help. My dad was the best if you took tips from him and your dad I can see why Black Moon is flourishing. Also it’s Rae or Raelynn I’m not little anymore got it?” She walks off to my father stunned probably isn’t the best way to describe what she just said but it fit. I’m flattered by her compliment on my pack made me puff my chest a bit. Then got that slap in the face by her snide remark about calling her little. I stand at 6’4 honestly I’m wouldn’t be surprised if I was a who foot taller than her. Knowing it bugs her I’ll make sure to use it more often I did always like getting her riled up. She’s become a lot feistier and that’s saying a lot she’s always been a bit of a hot head. I was expecting her to pull in guns blazing and losing her mind. Granted she was about to become Alpha I know her dad would make her control her temper before he passed it glad she still is in control. Dylan has given me a short version of what happened at the hotel. Releasing her Alpha aura out the way she did Dylan has only barred his neck for me and my dad. We were both amazed and intrigued by her being about to do that without having become 18. Dad calls for everyone to go ahead and come inside and I follow behind. As we wait for the elevator I hear Sand foot steps running to us like a storm coming in. My eyes are just stuck in Rae when I see her get tackled to the ground by Sand. I see Rae go to catch her breathe when she realizes it’s same and the laughter I hear next brings a smile to my face. Her smile and laughter brings everyone to a smile and the whole group felt lighter after it. Suddenly I see Ed grab ahold of Sand and yank her two him with a growl. Next thing I know he’s been kneed right in the nutts and got a punch to the throat.
