HE IS A BILLIONAIRE

This deal seemed too complex for Sharon’s mind to register. She had heard of contract marriages but getting involved in one for a year to get one hundred dollars sounded off.

Sharon gazed at the time and discovered that she had only ten minutes to go. This pushed her to make her decision.

“I accept!” Sharon said quickly. “Can I get the one hundred dollars now? I need to get to the police station to do the needful before time runs out. I don’t want them to be charged to court.”

“Calm down…” The man smiled. “We have to sign a contract before I pay you. I already have the documents. All you need to do is sign. Also, my name is Richard."

Richard opened his briefcase and brought out the documents. He brought out his pen as well and handed it all to Sharon. The latter signed it quickly and requested for her payment instantly.

“I don’t think you are in the condition to go anywhere for now. You have a broken leg…” Richard told Sharon slowly. He was putting Sharon into consideration here. Sharon had actually injured her leg when running around.

“No! Why did I sign this deal if I wouldn’t get to save my father and elder brother?” Sharon asked angrily. She was already thinking that Richard wanted to cheat her.

“Like I said earlier, calm down. I said you shouldn’t go but that won’t affect your father or brother in any way. A phone call from me will sort this out or better still, I could send my personal assistant!” Richard bragged. He was trying to tell Sharon that he was a person of influence.

But all these didn’t impress Sharon at all. She only wanted the safety of her father and elder brother.

“Go ahead! I want to see them! Send your personal assistant or make that magical phone call. I don’t want a court case, I really don’t!” Sharon protested. She had a high-pitched voice.

Richard got to work instantly. He put a phone call to his personal assistant instantly with the order to bail Sharon’s father and elder brother. Richard didn’t know their names so he had to consult Sharon for the names. Richard also told his personal assistant to have Sam Hernandez, Sharon’s father, to call Sharon immediately he was out. This would be needful to reassure Sharon.

The phone call ended and Richard left Sharon to attend to the medical bills. Sharon began to ponder about who Richard could be. His name seemed to be a notable one but she didn’t know where she heard it. It rang a bell regardless.

About five minutes later, Sharon received a phone call from her father ascertaining that they had been released from police custody. Sharon asked to hear Charlie’s voice as well and this was done. Now, Sharon was calm. Richard had now done her part and she now had to do hers.

Richard took Sharon to the hospital. He wanted her to be fit.

Sam Hernandez asked Sharon how she came about the money but she waved the question off. When asked why she didn’t bring the money to the police station herself, Sharon disclosed that she had an accident and she was in a hospital. Sam was worried and he offered to come immediately.

While Sharon was still on this call, Richard arrived and sat down. He waited patiently for Sharon to end the call before he talked.

“The medical bills has been sorted out…” Richard said carefully. “Right now, you don’t need to worry about a thing. But we still need to think about the story to offer to your father since you will have to move in with me right away.”

“Right away?” Sharon asked in displeasure.

“Sure! The contract has started today…” Richard disclosed impatiently. “I want to remind you that you don’t need to worry about feeding and clothing. I have enough to do this.”

Sharon sighed. She still had something that she needed an answer to.

“Listen up, I need you to tell me why you are hiring me as your contracted lover? Is it that you need someone to serve as a maid? Wash your clothes? Clean the house?” Sharon asked carefully. She wanted to be sure of the facts.

This got Richard laughing.

“No, dear. I have enough maids to do that for me…” Richard said now. He hadn’t stopped laughing.

“Or you need someone to satisfy you sexually?” Sharon asked with a low tone.

“No! I have no interest in you sexually or emotionally. I want you to bear my name, attend gatherings, act like my wife in the midst of the press, and others…” Richard told her conventionally.

“The press? Are you a celebrity?” Sharon wanted to know. It was sounding more complex to her now.

“No, but you will know better. I will tell you the other terms and conditions when we get to my home,” Richard told her simply.

Later on, Sam and Charlie arrived. Sharon’s leg was bandaged and this got them quite worried. However, Richard reassured them by explaining that it was a minor dislocation.

Sharon introduced Richard to her family like she had earlier planned with Richard. Sam was very shocked on hearing that Sharon had a lover. Charlie’s facial expression was even more shocking.

“I didn’t know you had a boyfriend, Sharon. I have never seen a man around you since you finished high school!” Charlie said in surprise.

The discussion continued gingerly. Sam tapped Richard on his shoulder every five seconds. He was happy that Sharon finally had a lover and what’s more, he seemed rich.

Charlie had mixed feelings but upon noticing that Richard was rich, he began to go closer to him. Charlie even went ahead to tell Richard how much he loved his shoes and how glad he would be if Richard could get the exact shoes for him.

Sharon felt embarrassed seeing Sam and Charlie act like leeches. She wondered how they would feel if they later found out that it was a contract marriage and not real.

Regardless, Richard kept calm and took all they did humbly. Sharon expected him to get angry but reverse was the case. He seemed quite glad for the attention he was getting.

And finally, Richard put forward the request which he had thought would be hard to get.

“I want to take Sharon with me to my house for the meantime. I want to take care of her till she is fine,” Richard told Sam. He didn’t put his request as directly as Sam would have loved.

Everyone kept mute at first.

“What if Sharon goes and comes back heavily pregnant…” Charlie whispered into Sam’s ears. However, everyone could hear this.

“Oh no!” Richard combated. “I have no intention of doing that.”

And Sam said the unthinkable.

“It’s okay if you do, Richard!” Sam said excitedly. “All I want is for the unborn child to be a male.”

“Daddy…” Sharon cried.

“Stop acting shy, Sharon!” Sam told her with a very wild smile on his face.

And that was it.

Sharon was left to leave with Richard.

Sharon was surprised on seeing Richard’s luxurious car. He even had a driver. This made Sharon suspicious.

And her suspicion was finally confirmed when they got to Richard’s house. It was a huge building.

“Welcome to my mansion!” Richard said excitedly.

Sharon came out of the car and beheld the beauty of th

e mansion. The building was the biggest she had seen in her life. It was at this point when Sharon knew where she had Richard’s name.

It was from a magazine.

Richard was a billionaire!
