Chapter 3: A New Threat

Once I heard the footsteps begin to get feinter and feinter I began to test some of the doors I passed by. If I didn't find a place to hide soon I would eventually get caught. Testing each door I found each one to be locked. Great, just great. I wanted to shoot down the doors like I had earlier but if I did; the assailant would immediately know which room I was in from the holes in the door. Secondly,I had to reserve whatever remaining bullets were in the gun incase I did run into someone and needed to defend myself. Which also had me concerned as I had fired many rounds at that door just how many bullets were remaining? I'd never used a gun before in my life so I didn't know how to check. Taking another turn I proceeded to test the doors in that hallway as well. It was on my 3rd try that I finally found a door that was unlocked. A sigh of relief escaped my mouth. I immediatley went inside and closed the door behind me. The room was large and dimly lit. It appeared to be some kind of sitting room with luxury furniture, lush couches, fluffy carpet, oak tables, bookshelf walls filled with books amd other decorations. There were two other open large doors on one side of the room and in it the room further extended. I stood still and quiet for a moment, listening for any movement in the room. It was quiet. I slowly walked further inside going towards the large window. I had get an idea of my surroundings. I carefully peeked outside from the corner, incase someone some from outside saw me. It was still night and the yard below was well lit by yard lamps. I appeared to be in a room atleast 3 stories high in a large mansion. So straight off the bat I couldn't jump out the window and escape. The mansion had a massive yard that seemed to go on and on but I could see up ahead walls that surrounded the place and a large metal gate from which to enter and exit from. This of course was only going to make my escape difficult. What's more there were men patrolling the yard of the mansion. My mind was racing as I tried to figure out how I was going to get outside the mansion, avoid the patrolling men and on top of that get outside the walls. No doubt my madman assailant was already calling for reinforcements to help look for me. I brought my hands to my mouth and began to bite my fingernails. What was I going to do? "And who might you be?" I then heard a deep husky voice asked from behind me. I shrieked as I turned round in the direction of the voice. A very tall muscular looking man stood not to far from me. He was not my assailant. How had I not heard his footsteps? Where had he come from? I hadn't heard the door open open so he definitely hadn't come from outside. Had he been in the room the whole time? The man had tan skin, a chiseled handsome face and mersmerising silver eyes. He had dark hair which was slicked back, but a few stray strands were in front and came over his eyes. He wore a black suit trousers and a tight white shirt that showed his muscular build. Two of his shirt buttons were undone at the top, revealing a window to his large chest. He had a dangerous aura about him and a menacing glare. Oh god. I thought to myself panicking. I found myself glued to the spot. He appeared far more terrifying than the guy who was chasing me. I just couldn't catch a break could I? He took a step towards me and panicking, I pointed the gun up at him. "Don't move." I said unconvincingly, my voice shaking. He stopped walking but his mersmerising silver eyes looked at me unimpressed. He stared me up and down for a moment and I remembered I was only wearing my bra and undies. However, he didn't seem to be staring in a lustful way, it was as if...he was trying to figure something out. "That idiot." he then said to himself, as if he realized something. I was confused for a second wondering who he was referring to. He then continued to make his way towards me. "I said don't move!" I warned him again, but he didn't stop. Did he think I was bluffing? I fired at him. Luckily, a bullet left the gun, I was relieved that it still had bullets inside. However my eyes soon widened in surprise when the man quickly swerved to the side and somehow dodged the bullet. As if he predicted it's trajectory beforehand. He then lunged towards me at a breathtaking speed and took the gun away from me before I could fire again. I fell to the floor overwhelmed by the force he used to take it. His movements were quick and swift. Like it happened in the blink of an eye. I could only look up at him from the floor, dumbfounded by what had just happened. He stared me down with his stoic uninteressed gaze. Was he going to shoot? I wondered. "Your arms were shaking, you doubted yourself. You'd already lost as soon as you did that. When you have a gun in your hand you have to confidently take aim." He lectured me. Huh? Why was he telling me this? It's not like I was going to do much with that information. I was as good as dead at this point. Then in that moment the door I come from before burst open. I turned to look at the door to see the guy who had been chasing me enter. His My eyes widened in horror. This was all too much for my heart.I felt I was going to collapse any minute now. If I did atleast I wouldn't have to face the horrors that would follow. My assailant looked at me on the ground then looked at the man who'd taken the gun from me. His face went pale like a ghost. "Mr Savant!" My assailant shrieked, his voice shaking. He went still his eyes wide in shock, he appeared to be afraid of the man in front of me. "I-I'm so sorry for the disturbance." "What's this about, Henry?" The man, or I suppose Mr Savant, demanded his expression went dark. "I--I" Henry struggled to speak. "Didn't I tell you to make preparations for tommorow?" He asked, terrifyingly raising his voice. "Yes you did, sir." He "So it is this?" "And yet here you are indulging..." Savant lunged past me and went straight for Henry. "Mr Savant please I'm sorr..." He never got to finish his sentence as he was punched hard in the face and got knocked to the ground. I blinked, shocked by how fast Savant was. The towel that covered his body came off his body. "You really can't go a day without ejaculating can you?" Savant said as he gave Henry a hard kick in the groin and he screamed out in pain. I flinched in fear. "What were you going to do if she managed to runaway?" Savant went on to ask him as he gave him another hard kick in the stomach. "Huh? Tell me!" He demanded as he got closer to him again. "Please.." Henry tried to beg. Savant bent down and began to punch him continuosly. "She even took your gun. How careless can you get." He said inbetween punches. He just kept going, one punch after another. Soon Henry's face became a bloody bruised mess. I felt he could kill Henry with his fists alone. He was truly a terrifying man. When he was done Henry lay still on the floor unmoving. I couldn't tell if he was unconscious or dead. I could barely recognize his face at all. Savant stood up and looked down at his "Now look you got my hands dirty." He complained about the blood stains on his hand. He took out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his hands down. I still lay helplessly on the floor processing what had just happened. This Mr Savant guy was a monster. Then he turned his attention back on me. s**t. He calmly came towards me, I crawled backwards on the floor in a weak attempt to get away from him only to be stopped by the wall which I reached too soon. He came to stand right in front of me. His gaze on me was intense. He appeared calm but there was something terrifying behind his gaze. "Where did Henry find you?" He asked. "He-he bought a coffee at the Cafe where I work. I saw him eyeing me up and down and then later in the evening I was kidnapped by two men." I answered. " Is that so?" He asked as he brought a hand to my face. I winced thinking he was going to hurt me. Instead he brought his hand under my chin and lifted my head up. "My goodness." he said with satisfied grin on his face as his thumb trailed my lips. As if getting a good view of my face. "Henry may be an i***t but he does have good taste in women." Multiple men in black suits then entered the room. Savant turned to face them. "Get Henry out of here, if he manages to wake up I'll deal with him properly then." "Yes, Mr Savant." They all answered. "Oh and take care of the woman as well. Don't make a mess, make it quick."
