[Lance’s POV]
After Violet’s departure I stay in my office, examining the files I have for the man that I’ve set her up with, while somewhere in the back of my head I just can’t seem to stop my suspicion.
Of course, I knew that it might not have been anything that I saw in the bar the previous evening, but then there was a chance that I witnessed his deception.
“Dammit,” I growl, rubbing my temples while the urge to go back to that same bar hits me. “What the hell am I even hesitating for?”
