[Violet’s POV] Our howls rip through the air as we begin to move forward, the world blurring around us while we lead the pack forward into the forest beyond. It’s an invigorating experience that I never truly got to share with anyone, and now being here with my father and the pack, I feel like a piece of me is no longer broken. Was this what I was missing for so long? I think, looking around me. Was this why I tried so hard to appease everyone? Did I want this sense of connection from someone so I didn’t feel so alone? I wasn’t sure, but now that I was slowly piecing myself back together, it didn’t matter anyway. Feeling a wave of satisfaction, I fix my gaze straight ahead, taking in the forest beyond, and when its sights and sounds overwhelm me, I feel like I’m becoming one with it.
