Taryn I found Caz in the kitchen, barefoot and shirtless, flipping eggs onto plates like he wasn’t the most intimidating Alpha I’d ever met. His head tilted when he saw me, brow raised in that way that said What did Gavin do now? I set my mug down. “He drank the tea.” Caz’s spatula paused in the air. “He said he wants to try. He didn’t snap, didn’t lash out. Just... talked. Really talked.” Caz sighed and set the plate aside. “Taryn…” “I want to move him out of the cells.” His head whipped toward me like I’d said I wanted to invite a grizzly bear into the nursery. “What?” “To a bedroom,” I said. “A guarded one. But… something with a bed, a window. He’s still locked up like a feral animal, and if we want him to be something else, we have to stop treating him like he’s beyond saving.”
