The vehicle they were driving and a nine-foot man was not going to go unnoticed. Jordie and Mason knew that and wanted the attention. They were supposed to be noticed—despite Madame’s admonition—and that alone was to send a message to the group in charge and to Stephanie that they knew where and who. Mason could link to several satellite systems and communicate with Madame and whoever she wanted to include in the chat. Mason was also trying to access local networks and see what was being discussed on chat forums. He wasn’t finding much one message going out as a general alert that Big and Smoke Boy were in the area.
