“All right, listen up, nobody’s getting comfortable here. I want teams of four scouting out the canyons for any sign of Stone. If we don’t pick up his scent or Warren’s, it’s safe to assume they didn’t come this way. We'll give it an hour or two and then we’re getting back on the road and heading straight through into Colorado,” Jaxom commanded his pack, meeting each wolf’s gaze in turn. I couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride, watching him work. For all of his boasting and arrogance, the man was still a natural-born leader.
