Episode 11: The Breaking Point

410 Words
Seraphina didn’t know what was worse—the fact that Kieran had kissed her like he owned her or the fact that she wanted more. She could still feel the phantom heat of his mouth, the way his fingers had gripped her waist, the possessive hunger that had left her breathless. She should have pushed him away. Should have told him to go to hell. But she didn’t. Because, deep down, she knew the truth. Kieran Blackwell was a storm—and she had always loved playing in the fire. ⸻ The Penthouse – Midnight Seraphina paced the length of her living room, arms crossed, her heart still hammering from the confrontation. Kieran sat on her couch, watching her with an unreadable expression. His shirt was slightly wrinkled from where she had fisted it in her hands, his lips still red from their brutal kiss. “You’re angry,” he murmured, voice laced with amusement. Seraphina shot him a glare. “You kissed me.” He arched a brow. “You kissed me back.” She clenched her jaw, refusing to acknowledge the truth in his words. “You think you can control me, Blackwell?” she hissed, stepping closer, her fury barely restrained. “You think you can walk into my life and—” Kieran stood in one swift motion, towering over her. “I don’t think, Seraphina. I know.” The tension between them was suffocating. She hated him. Loathed him. So why did her body betray her every time he got close? Kieran reached out, his fingers trailing down her bare arm, leaving goosebumps in their wake. “You’re fighting this,” he whispered, lips hovering just above hers. “But you and I both know—” Seraphina shoved him back before he could finish. “Get out.” Kieran’s jaw tightened, but his smirk never wavered. “This isn’t over,” he promised. Then, without another word, he turned and walked out of her penthouse, leaving her standing there—furious, shaken, and burning with something dangerously close to need. ⸻ Elsewhere… Dante Valenciaga stood in the shadows of an underground club, watching the city through the glass windows. He swirled the whiskey in his glass, eyes dark with amusement. He had heard about the little war brewing between Kieran and Seraphina. And he had plans of his own. After all, breaking them apart would be far more satisfying than watching them burn together.
