We finally join the others and Munch chuckles “ damn an hour later”
I roll my eyes and Kyan’s hand goes to my thigh “ hey man we needed to shower”
“ Well you better eat fast we are going to be late for tryouts”
I look at him raising an eyebrow “ Tryouts?”
“ fck Alpha squad tryouts I totally forgot”
He downs his food and looks at me kissing me softly “ My bad beautiful got to go text me later?”
I nod and he kisses me again and turns I grab his arm so he faces me “ Be careful”
He chuckles pecking my forehead “ Always”
All three of them zoom off and Sienna laughs “ So in the shower huh?”
I roll my eyes” not that kind of shower you nasty… We um haven’t yet”
She looks at me “ Have you ever?”
I shake my head “ he knows that um anyways I need to go to the chem lab when we are done then you and I can go dress shopping”
“ Chem lab? You making a potion or something?”
I laugh a little “ No just a concentrate of Kyan’s scent so I have it when we aren’t staying the night together”
She looks shocked “ wait you can do that? Can you do that for Bo and I? We haven’t been apart much since we found each other last year so..”
“ Yeah totally I just need like a piece of hair or something from each of you”
“ oh totally I can grab that from his dorm really quick is it like a witchy thing or?”
I giggle “ Your really on that witch wagon aren’t you… No it’s basic chemistry it is my major after all”
“ Really I didn’t know that… I’m actually going for education I figured being a beta female I could be a teacher in the pack”
I sigh looking at her “ Okay so this is embarrassing to ask but um exactly what pack?”
She laughs “ Guess we never did tell you that Blood Moon pack”
“ I feel stupid but everything has been moving so fast the past few days it’s like a whirlwind”
“ I can imagine I mean you have a lot going on girl seriously I commend you especially the weirdness of your bond”
I huff “ Oh you have no idea that weirdness”
“ is it explanatory or?”
I nod explain it to her as we eat
“ That’s wild so where does the energy go?”
I shrug “ it’s like we absorb it from each other”
“ Wow”
I nod and we get up taking our trays and then I head to the chem lab she meets me there. I finish my concentrate and put it in my necklace I had been using for vervain so of course I cleaned it out first. Then get hers done and we head to buy dresses I text Kyan when we are at the mall
“ How’s the try out?”
“ Aced it gorgeous sorry I rushed at breakfast”
“ Don’t be I get it so see you later at the mixer?”
“ not having lunch?”
“ Sienna and I are going to stop at the food court we are dress shopping and she is taking forever”
“ lol yeah good luck with that my brother refuses to shop either her anymore says an hour thing turns into eight”
“ I totally don’t understand that I already found my dress”
“ mm and I know you will be the most beautiful girl there tonight”
I send him a smiley face and a blushing one.
“ so I have a question?”
“ Okay should I be scared?”
“ lol no I was wondering if you would like to get away with me this weekend before classes and craziness starts”
“ well duh… you don’t even have to ask Kyan I would go anywhere with you”
“ Alright I gotta get back to dealing with some pack stuff I will text you later beautiful”
He send me a kissy face and I send one back putting my phone in my purse.
After 4 hours this woman finally picks a dress and we go eat then head back to campus.
I go wet my hair and do a half up do showing off my natural wavy hair then get my makeup done. Sienna and I head to the sorority house and get there at 6:45
Lily smiles “ oh you girls look amazing, um Alexandra do mind if we sidebar?”
“ no of course not” she leads me to the library”
She sighs “ So here’s the thing Mona is insisting we test your legacy because you where raised by humans and she thinks your an imposter like it’s a big shabang she has all of the pledges against you and even some of the girls doubting my leadership.”
“ So how do we fix it?”
“ Well I just need to know like who your mom is how Mrs. Moor is your god mother that kind of thing… Also I will need you to shift in front of the girls to prove you are not an imposter”
I sigh moving to look at the pictures I see Helen’s class and right next to her is me I mean not me but her… I sigh pointing at the picture.
“ That is my mother I um I don’t know her and honestly I don’t know Helen I met her the other day at the assembly. Mona is right I was raised by humans and bounced around foster care my entire childhood. I didn’t know I was different until I was 16 and shifted for the first time and believe me that was scary. My last foster mother before I aged out was a Dragon rogued by her Thunder for loving a wolf she showed me most everything I know about this word and that isn’t much but she pushed me to come here said I could find the answers I need.”
I look at her “ I’m not an imposter Lily the only reason Mona is gunning for me is because I am mated to Kyan who is her ex”
She sighs “ I believe you and Helen has never vouched for anyone so that speaks volumes to me but I still need you to prove them wrong.”
I sigh nodding “ When?”
“ Now if possible we can do it in the back yard before the guys get here”
I nod and we head out gathering everyone Helen just got here and looks utterly confused Lily gets in front of them “ALRIGHT CALM DOWN… Look we have had chaos today with some of you not only doubting Alexandra but me as a leader as well I have confirmed Alexandra is a true Legacy” She holds up the picture “ This is her mother they look nearly identical minus Ali’s little button nose”
I look at her and she smiles “ So now Ali is going to Shift to prove she isn’t an imposter”
Helen moves “ The hell she is she shouldn’t have to prove anything”
I touch her shoulder “ Helen it’s fine”
She looks at me with true worry “ Ali it isn’t…”
“ See she can’t shift that’s why her “ God mom” she air quotes the words is fighting it”
I sigh undoing my dress and stripping then shift growing my links hair big and fluffy.
“ Oh Sh.it”
Lily starts laughing and I shift back looking straight at Mona “ what was that?”
She gulps “ Your a Manecoon”
“ mhm”
“ But you where raised by humans”
I glare as I put my clothes back on “ your right Mona I was raised by humans meaning I have actual fcking compassion unlike you”
“So your not an imposter but you where brewing potion earlier today in the chem lab I saw you!”
“ it’s called chemistry you twitter I am a chemistry major it wasn’t a potion it was a scent concentrate so that Sienna and I have it when we aren’t able to be with our mates”
“ He isn’t your mate!”
“ Oh he definitely is her mate”
I smile seeing Kyan behind everyone he looks at me and smiles “ Hey gorgeous”
“ Hey”
Lily rolls her eyes and walks toward Mona “ give me your pledge pin”
“ What?”
“ Your pledge pin Mona your negativity is so not what we want in a Luna Pi sister and you putting all that in all these girls heads was not only wrong but plain synical now give me your pin and leave our sorority house!”
She huffs taking off the pin and looks at me “ I will figure out your game”
I laugh “ Don’t have one but enjoy driving yourself crazy Mona because you won’t break me”
She huffs walking off and I walk over to Kyan he grabs my waist kissing me “ Damn your adorable when your angry”
I can’t help but giggle as I hit his chest “ You are a jerk you know that?”
He chuckles kissing me again” mhm”
Everyone heads back inside and Helen looks at me “ A mane coon?”
“ Yeah something I figured out at my last foster home to hide the other one”
She smiles “ Smart but don’t just rely on your dads shift it can be dangerous too”
“ Wait what?”
She gulps and Kyan looks at her “ Are you saying her dad was a Mane coon?”
“ I shouldn’t have said that um we should go to the dinner”
She walks off and I look at him “ I need you to look for Any Mane coon Alpha’s that where here around 2003”
he nods “ got it beautiful… now my lady” he offers his arm and I smile grabbing it as he leads me inside.
