“Then, what are you saying?” pinning her hands above her wrist, he moved his lips from her neck to her ear. “Do tell, Claire. I can’t wait for the lies you still have up your sleeves.” He seethed.
Claire felt her eyes shut and a few tears tracing down her face. “I left everything for you, Vince. And you still don’t believe me…”
Pulling his head back, he took her lower lip between his teeth and tugged, his breath hot against her mouth. “I left everyone for you, too, Claire, and you still left me.”
His words forced her to open her eyes and meet the intensity of his gaze as, for the first time, she noticed something soft in those dark eyes of his. Something she feared she might never see again.
“You left me,” he said, and she shook her head. “You went back to him. You don’t get to enter a
