Chapter 13: Gilded Cage

The door closed before me as I stared at the view in front of me, my lips parted, gasping in shock. The view was incredible. I had been taken to the servant's quarters, but the view in front of me didn't look anything like a servant's room. It was so luxurious, furnished like a queen's room, so like hers, my former best friend.
The bed stood so gently, like it was calling to me, the furniture so luscious, the patterns so delicately designed and fit for a queen in my previous pack, but Luna's room was more elegant and luxurious than that.
My heart clenched at the thoughts again. I had been kicked out by the alpha on the first day of being queen, just like my previous pack had kicked me out, but they weren't my pack members anymore.
