The Weak Could Become Strong

"Where is Nesrin Dawn?" The Head Professor looked around frowning. "I am here, Professor." "Please step in with the other participants." "I understand."  Unexpectedly, the only space left is besides Karl, the youngest challenger who's participating in this school event.  The kid looks slightly pale, nervous, and even scared. Haaaa, I always see myself to this 10-year-old boy.  And it is out of my expectation why they are letting this child join.  "HAHAHA! That trash will definitely admit defeat again!" Nesrin frown. Trash? Who are they talking about? Who are they mocking?  Karl, the person beside her tremble. His hands clenching into tight fists.  "Of course he would! How could he fight when he's just a good-for-nothing?!" "A person who cannot cultivate spirit energy definitely fears death!"  What? 'What about you? What's your rank?' 'Me?' 'That is a spirit master's secret. I won't reveal mine unless I was in a necessary situation.'  Karl can't cultivate? Then why is he here? Did he just survive because he admits defeat every time? Is this his strategy whenever this school event is celebrated? Why are they letting him join this dangerous competition? Did they want him dead? "The Princes and Princesses are really savage, putting the previous prince inside just because he was hateful to look at." Upon hearing the word 'Prince' coming out of their mouth, Nesrin’s attention instantly turns towards Zephyr. Zephyr who receives that attention felt the chill around his nape. It's not me! I’m just a hostage Prince! He looked back as if saying those words to her. Zephyr sigh. How could I be compared to such nasty people? I am such a good brother to my brother up above the higher continent. I am not related to such people. Psh! I am a good boy! Afterward, his eyes then landed on Princess Narin. One of the royalties that bullied Karl. "Tsk." Nesrin clicks her tongue. “Trashes only knew how to speak rotten garbage.” Though her voice is not that loud, everyone heard it from the now quietened crowd. But because of what she said, the surrounding becomes still. "Don't worry, Karl. I will protect you." Karl looked up. Nesrin’s eyes were glinting and her face is filled with annoyance.  "You don't have to, sister. I can take care of myself.” Nesrin heard of his low and meek voice. Far from the Karl Earlwood from the first time they met. Meanwhile, Karl smells faint blood coming off from her. Is she hurt? He was worried that he’ll just become a burden when she’s already hurt. Karl felt really grateful when someone shows great care towards someone like him, especially when he and Nesrin just met. "You lied to me. You have to ask for my forgiveness by sticking close to me." "You looked and sounded confident that day. A spirit master's secret? Only show it when in a necessary situation? I really thought you were stronger than me because of it. But I realize you were just a child. But you can't even cultivate? Then you better stay close to me." It may sound nosy and putting her nose up to someone else's business, however, she wanted to be a busybody as Karl resembled her too much.  ["She's the Queen's lapdog. Trash like her really deserves to be the Queen's pet."] Nesrin clench her fist from the memories that had suddenly emerged. At that time, she wasn't thinking. All she sees is red. And the Queen laughs watching her annihilate them. The aura around Nesrin suddenly changed. She was looking straight at the crowd but the only people who notice the deadly ripple underneath her eyes are Zephyr and the Headmaster who were quietly observing the lot of them. However, only Karl who’s beside her can smell the intense blood and killing intent at the moment before it slowly became faint once again. Zephyr on the other hand was stood rooted on the ground in shock. It only took a millisecond. It was too fast. But he caught the change in her eyes. It was a color of light orange. It was as if a tint of red entered her golden eyes. “…Sister?” Nesrin calms herself down. She felt really uncomfortable because of the backlash yesterday. She wasn't able to sleep from the pain in her body and also cough out another mouthful of blood that night. "Since everyone is here. We will send you in to your location." A teleportation portal appeared in front of them with a wave of the Headmaster's hand. There are 10 portals in total and each has 10 individuals to go and enter. Though all of them were going together, their locations would be completely different from each other. "Are you okay, sister Nesrin?" "Why are you asking? Even if I'm hurt, I'm the type to endure the pain. Hold on to me. I don't want you separated." "But I don't want to be a burden. You heard them. I'm just a trash." "Stop it. Don't forget the strong is meant to protect the weak. " Nesrin hold his shoulder as they both entered the portal. "Trash? Even the turtle beats the rabbit in his own game." If one has determination, the weak could become strong.
