“Secure the perimeter! Don't let any of them leave this place!” Leah bellowed out orders while I hid behind a vehicle, watching with fear pounding in my heart.
Alpha Caleb's wolves were young and agile but the Ridgewood warriors were not to be messed with. As their invaders rushed them in their wolf forms, they countered with a fierce force of theirs.
“Skylar!” I whipped my head to the right and I saw Conrad rushing towards my direction. But he was hit by a wolf from his side.
“Conrad!” I screamed my lungs out, springing to my feet and without another thought, dashed across the path.
When I got to Conrad, he had already kicked the wolf off him and was holding its fur, pinning it down. Then with one mighty punch, he struck it down.
