Skylar. My mind wasn't at rest, even as I sat on the comfortable bed in one of the rooms in Ridgewood pack house. How could it be? When I was in a situation so grave, even my life couldn't be assured of safety. Every night from now on, I'd have to sleep, knowing that it could be my last. This very pack, which Conrad has deemed our new sanctuary, could be the very cause of our doom.
