Chapter 8 Eva -
After Lilura decided to go home for the night, I returned to my apartment to find Kodan waiting by my door. I smiled, surprised and happy that he was waiting for me.
“Hi,” I said my voice husky.
His eyes flashed to golden yellow. “Hi.”
I took my keys out and opened my door letting him in. He kissed me as he entered my apartment pushing me up against the wall. His hand roamed over my body and my legs wrapped around his waist. I squeezed and pulled him with my legs closer to me pressing his hot body into my cool skin. Our mouths fighting for dominance over our kisses. Frenzied passion was ignited, in seconds our shirts were tossed on the floor, Kodan’s pants pushed down his thighs. My shorts and underwear were ripped in half by Kodan’s strong hands. He pushed himself into me slamming me against the wall. I held on to his back with one arm, while my other hand gripped his beautiful hair and I kissed him passionately. His hands held my hips and with each thrust, I moved against the wall sending pleasure throughout my body. I moaned his name and he grunted in response. We continued like this until both of us had our release and were breathing heavily.
He carried me to my bed leaving our clothes strewn by my front door. He lay me on my bed and kissed me and moved his hands to play with my breasts. I could feel him hardening inside me and I moved my hip up startling a growl out of him. His eyes were purely the color of his wolfs. I saw a look in his eyes and realized something happened today. He thrust into me hard and I tossed my head back moaning his name he continued and licked my neck with his hot tongue making me shiver. I could smell our arousal in the air and I could feel my orgasm building again. Kodan suddenly tossed my legs over his shoulders and grabbed my hips tightly in his strong hand and slammed into me with his hips as he pulled my hips to his making my shout with pleasure. He continued at a quick pace and my orgasm ripped through my body, I could see that he was holding in his own for some reason. He kept thrusting and pulling me towards him our pelvic bones hitting and rubbing my c**t, sending pleasure through me until my orgasm was released again. Kodan was back kissing my neck and when he reached his own release, I felt his teeth graze my neck making me moan. I looked at his flickering eyes emotions running through them. My legs fell off his shoulders as Kodan collapsed on top of me and wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head on my breasts.
At first, I thought Kodan was just breathing heavily from the amount of energy he expended but I felt a drop fall between my breasts. I lifted my head to look at him but his face was pressed between my breasts. I bit my lip. I knew something was wrong. I moved my legs and wrapped them around his lower back tightly and held him to my chest with one arm while my other hand began rubbing his back soothingly. I didn’t say anything, just comforted him and waited for him to tell me what was wrong. I held him for a long time and tears continued to fall on my chest. Finally, he let me go and I let him roll onto his back and wipe his tears. I moved my pillows, so I was leaning up a little and I looked over at him.
Kodan was staring off into space deep in thought. I sat up and put my hands under his arms and pulled him up to me as I leaned back on my pillows. He looked over his shoulder at me as I moved him so he could be seated between my legs and I could hug him tightly to my chest. I hugged him and Kodan rested his head on my chest.
“What’s going on Kodan?” I asked. I had waited long enough to find out what was happening.
“I had a long day at work then when I went to my pack to deal with an issue, my father ambushed me with a group of she-wolves who are suitable to be my mate.” He told me. I stiffened feeling jealous. But before I could say anything he continued. “I told him I was with someone already and refused to look at his choices. Then he told me he wished I was more like my brother and fall in line.”
“That was a low blow,” I told him. Holding him tightly. This was not the first time his father had said something like this to Kodan. Something about this seemed to be waying extra heavy on his mind.
“I know..” Kodan sighed and I held him in my arms. I had never seen him so open and vulnerable before, it really touched me and surprised me. We fell asleep in each other’s arms.
The next morning, I made breakfast for Kodan and put it on a tray to bring it to him. When I entered my room I heard my shower on and walked in there with my tray of food. Kodan looked at the food and smiled.
“I’ll be out in a minute,” Kodan told me.
I took the tray back to my kitchen and placed Kodan’s breakfast on the table. Kodan came out of my room two minutes later all dressed and his hair dripping slightly. He took a bite of his breakfast. Kodan ate and my phone rang. It was Lilura, I answered it immediately. I was worried about her breakup with Tyr and now Azazel trying to mess with her mind.
“Hello?” I answered.
“A witch on my coven called to tell me that she was at the graveyard visiting her grandmothers grave and sensed a dark energy there. It’s the same graveyard where we sent Osiris back. I think we should go check it out.” Lilura told me.
“Okay, Kodan and I will meet you there. Wait for us in the parking lot do not go into the graveyard alone.” I told her.
“I won’t, I promise. I’ll see you soon.” Lilura said and hung up.
“That was Lilura we are headed to the graveyard where Osiris came through, one of her coven members sensed something coming from there. We need to meet her there.” I told Kodan.
He nodded and began to eat his breakfast more quickly. I went to my room and changed out of my robe and into jeans, boots, and a short-sleeved shirt. By the time I was ready Kodan had finished his breakfast and loaded the dishwasher.
We drove to the graveyard and Lilura met us there ten minutes later. She looked better but her eyes were still slightly puffy. Lilura handed me the clothes she borrowed yesterday, and I put them in Kodan’s car.
“Do you feel what your coven member felt?” I asked her.
“No, not yet let's take a look around.” She said.
Kodan and I followed her. Kodan gave me a questioning look he could tell something was wrong. I just shook my head and mouthed the word ‘later’ to him. Lilura led us through the headstones until she pointed toward the direction of where Osiris resurrected. Kodan and I spread out using our own sense to see what was happening. We continued to follow Lilura until she suddenly stopped and looked at the ground. On the grass around the area where Osiris came through was an altar with offerings. I could smell the blood from where I stood. Kodan and I approached Lilura but all of a sudden Lilura started to struggle her feet sliding across the grass like she was being pulled. Kodan and I rushed over to her and when I grabbed Lilura’s shoulder her shield blew out of her hand sending her flying into me. I picked her up by the waist and ran. It was probably not the most dignifying experience Lilura ever had but we need to get out of there quick. Kodan was following at my heels. I only stopped running when we reach the cars.
“Lilura what happened?” I hurriedly asked her.
“Azazel his energy had a hold of me. I panicked and when I felt you touch my shoulder I remembered to shield myself.” Lilura explained to us.
“Are you alright?” Kodan asked concerned.
“Yes, just surprised. Did you guys see that alter?” Lilura asked us.
“Yes.” Kodan and I answered at the same time.
“Someone is trying to summon Azazel through a portal,” Lilura said.
“How is that possible?” Kodan asked her.
“The person doing the summoning would have to know Azazel in some way or he is controlling someone who doesn’t know what they are playing at,” Lilura explained.
“Azazel is in a demon underworld, could this be why there is an increase in paranormal activity and why we were attacked by a Hellhound?” I asked her.
“It could be, I’m not really sure why hellhounds and other creatures are coming out with the person is trying to summon Azazel,” Lilura told us.
“It could be a distraction,” Kodan suggested. “We have been busy keeping everything contained and didn’t even think to consider that all the locations of these sightings originated around this graveyard.”
“It could be. I’m not sure though. I do know that I can try a spell to figure out who is summoning Azazel.” Lilura told us.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, don’t you remember last time,” Kodan said.
“I’m not using that same spell, this is different, but I have to go to my house to get what we need,” Lilura said.
“Let’s do it. We need to stop these creatures because they risk exposing us, but we also need to stop Azazel from coming through.” I said.
Kodan and I got in his car and we followed Lilura back to her house.
