Chapter 6 Eva - I have been following Jimmie around since he landed at the airport at eight this evening. The first thing he did was got to his Motel 6 and check-in. I texted Marcus about Jimmie and he was willing to let a group of our vampires follow him around, so he didn’t see anything. I was grateful that he understood the severity of the situation. Jimmie was sitting at an outdoor café having dinner listening to a police scanner and taking notes on anything he considered supernatural. I was across the street standing in the shadows when I heard a call come over his scanner about a ghost. Jimmie excitedly jumped up and searched for his wallet. I walked across the street and made it look like I was just walking by. “Hey, are you the Ghost Hunter I saw on Tv?” I asked in my best southern accent and fluttered my eyelashes. Jimmie stopped what he was doing and looked at me. He was cute but not as handsome or sexy as Kodan but I did my best to pretend I was attracted to him and played up a fangirl moment. “Yes, I am!” He told me. “I am such a big fan of you and your work. I have seen every episode of your show at least twice!” I told him. “Wow thank you. I love meeting a fan.” He said. “Do you have some time to talk?” I asked. “I’m sorry, but I was just leaving to investigate a new ghost sighting.” He informed me. “OOOH! That is so exciting.” I said and looked him in the eye. Our eyes met and I used my compulsion on him. “You will forget that ghost sighting report and that we met. You will hear that ghost report again one hour from now.” I told him. Jimmie sat down and took a bite of his food. I walked away back to my hiding spot. I felt my phone vibrate. It was Lilura, I wondered if she was calling to tell me that she found new information on all these creatures. “Hello,” I answered my phone. On the other end, I heard Lilura crying and incoherently speaking to me. I listened until she paused. “Meet me at my apartment. I’ll get another vampire to watch Jimmie.” I told her. “Okay.” She cried. I texted one of my vampires and told them to meet me here. Jimmie finished up his dinner and paid before my vampire replacement arrived, so I followed Jimmie down the street. Five minutes later my vampire arrived. I informed him of what I compulsed Jimmie to do and gave him the address of the most recent ghost sighting. I left Jimmie and my vampire and rushed to my apartment. I switched my sheets and got out tissues and soft blankets. I went on a quick run to the store and grabbed the largest container of Lilura’s favorite ice cream. Even though I didn’t understand what she had told me I knew the pain in her voice. Her and Tyr must have had a fight, he was being so cold and distant with her at the council meeting it really made me angry. I arrived back at my apartment just before Lilura arrived. I let her in and hugged her, her eyes were red and puffy and she was shaking from crying so much. I took her to my couch and wrapped her up in a blanket and pulled out the ice cream and a spoon and handed it to her. Lilura took a large scoop and scrunched her face at the cold. “What happened?” I asked her. “Aeden called in his favor and asked me to break up with Tyr so he could be King of the Seelie.” Lilura sobbed. I hugged her tightly and rubbed her back. f*****g Aeden is all I could think. “I am so sorry Lilu.” I continued to hold her and rub her back. “I had to say the worst things. It was horrible I was so mean.” Lilura told me and ate another bite of ice cream. “I’m sorry. If you want, I’ll destroy Aeden for you?” I asked her. “No, I have been selfish to Tyr he is the rightful heir of the Seelie court, even though he doesn’t want to be and wants to be with me, I can’t let him abandon his people to be with me. He made it clear when we visited the court, he didn’t want me there because I would never be able to leave. That was before though.” Lilura told me. “Before what?” I asked. “Before Erika told me I was immortal because I’m half-demon,” Lilura told me. I wasn’t surprised by hearing this but it was clear I was the first person she told. “You haven’t told Tyr have you?” I asked. Lilura shook her head. “You need to tell him. Being immortal changes the way you think about time and life. For mortals, everything has to happen now, right in the moment. For immortals we have the luxury of time, we can do anything and everything we want because we have the time. Aeden want’s Tyr to be King of the Seelie, you did what he asked. Tyr can take on the crown of the Seelie and rule creating peace with the Unseelie court. You can still lead your coven and train a successor. When peace is achieved at court and your successor is ready the two of you can still be together it just won’t be now, it will be a little later. It could be ten years, it could be forty years, but I know you will be together, your love for each other is strong, this is a minor set back in a millennia of being together. You can have everything that you want.” I told her. “Thanks for being such a great friend,” Lilura said giving me a weak smile. “Your welcome. Now let's watch some movies about badass ladies to remind you that you are just as badass.” I said and turned on my tv and pulled up my sss prime watch list and went to my badass lady movie section and started our first movie.
