I stood at the shore snarling as my eyes scanned the area for the wolf who had escaped me—the wolf who had outsmarted me.
It was fast, smart and I've never seen any wolf as fast as that.
It didn't carry the scent of a rogue so it wasn't a rogue. Then who the hell was that?
I fought the urge to just jump into the water and find the damn wolf but I knew it would be useless.
The darkness covered me from seeing beyond where I was standing even as I used my wolf eyes and that made me furious.
I shifted into my human form breathing hard and just then I heard footsteps as my beta and the other warriors appeared.
“Your Majesty," he called but I didn't respond immediately as my eyes kept scanning, searching for any movement but I got nothing.
