Oh No!!! We're Still Married!!!

Prologue

Courtney was just getting home from a day out with a couple of her friends. When she noticed papers in her husband Mark's hands. "Whats going on?" She asked "I want a divorce" Mark said "Why what did I do?" she asked "Just sign the damn divorce papers" he yelled and with that she signed the papers and went up to there room packed all her clothes that he didn't buy her throughout their marriage, but before she left the house she turned around and asked one last question " Why are you throwing away 5 yrs of marriage i just don't understand??" she asked When he didn't answer she went up to him then put her rings in his hand. Then she stormed out of the house with tears streaming down her face. She got into her Ford mustang and took off to her parents house. When she pulled in they knew something was wrong. "Sweetie what's going on? Why are you here? Why are you crying?" Her mom asked "Mark wants a divorce and he won't tell me why or what i even did? "She answered "Honey we'll figure this out right now I'm gonna go give him a call I'll be right back" Her dad said. So with that her mom led her to the couch and let her cry on her shoulder in silence till her dad came back. About 5 minutes he came back and cleared his throat to let them know he was there. "He said he asked you for a divorce because you we're cheating on him. He didn't tell me with who or how he figured it out. But I have to ask did you cheat on him sweetie?" Her dad said "How can you even ask me that dad of course I didn't cheat I love him with all my heart" She said "Honey how about you go and get some sleep we'll talk more about this is the morning" Her mom said So she went up to her childhood room and went into her ensuite and took a bath to relax her nerves. After she was done with her bath she laid down on her bed and cried some more before sleep overtook her. ******** 5 Years Later "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy you ready to go?" Rain her 5 yr old daughter asked who is splitting image of her father but has her attitude "Yes I'm ready let's go and meet up with Ryan" She said They got into her Ford Mustang and drove to the restaurant to meet up with Ryan her boyfriend for the last 6 months. When they got there and pulled into a parking space and got out of the car and rain took her hand to head in she ran into somebody "I'm so sorry I didn't see you there" She said "It's ok" A familiar voice said with a smile on their face. When she looked up it was Mark her ex-husband. All she could hope for is that Ryan doesn't show up anytime soon. "Hey there babe I've been waiting for you to show up" Ryan said placing a kiss on her lips. Marks face turned from happy to angry. She wondered why that is. "Can I talk to you?" Mark asked "No" She said. Then she walked away with Rain and Ryan to go sit at their table. While they we're walking away "Mommy who is that?" Rain asked. All she could do is hope that Mark didn't hear her ask that. "Daughter! You have a daughter and is that prick behind you her father?" Mark asked bitterly "No! But for your information me and Ryan has only been dating for like 6 months not that it's any of your business." She snapped at him "It is my business and if you would've had that talk with me you would've known privately. But since you didn't I'm gonna say what I have to say here. We're still married." Mark said "Wait!! What?? How is that possible? I signed the divorce papers." She said "Seems like you missed a line and I've been trying to find you to tell you but I couldn't find you anywhere. So where have you been anyway?" Mark asked "It's none of your business where I've been your the one who wanted the divorce not me" She spat "Mommy what's going on and who is that man?" Rain asked "He's nobody baby girl" She said "Well since your still married I don't think we should see each other anymore till you get this all situated" Ryan finally said "Good I didn't want you around my WIFE anyway" Mark said "She's only your wife because of a technicality" Ryan said. Which pissed Mark off and Mark punched him right there in the middle of the restaurant. Then Ryan went and punched him right back and then they started fighting on the floor. The manager came up to us and told us to leave the premises. "What was that?" She said to the two grown men. "My daughter was right there and didn't need to see that violence.
