5 The town of Rose Hollow was shaken after the death of Jessica Royce. In the days following her death, Becky stayed at Mickey’s house, feeling like she was the older woman’s daughter. Becky was placed in an immaculate, adorably pink guest room that had a window that looked out onto Main Street. Mickey was an early riser, a tea drinker, and the complete antithesis of everything Becky was, but her house was charming and soothing, and it was a blessing, really. Mickey would be awake by the time Becky stumbled down from her bedroom. She would have breakfast made and some morning TV talk show would be playing.
