Aria knew the man hadn't given up. Fuming, she shoved the child into his arms. "Here. Take her. She's yours now. Four feedings a day. She won't eat carrots. She's allergic to seafood."
Adrian stood there, holding the soft, milk-scented little bundle, completely at a loss. "What's your name?" he asked.
"My name is Liora. It means longing. You can call me Lumi," she said earnestly, her big, grape-like eyes shining with delight.
"And who is she?" Adrian pointed at Aria.
"She's my sister, handsome," Lumi said again, wrapping her small arms around his neck.
