Upon waking up in the morning, they heard the sound of car tires. The father quickly looked out the window and realized that the loan sharks had found them. Fortunately, his friend was there and immediately ran to him.
"What are you going to do now?" his friend asked anxiously.
"How did they find us?" "They must have tracked down your license plate!" the father whispered in panic.
"Please, take my children and leave." "I'll stay behind to distract them," the father said in a panic.
"Alright, hurry and pack their things!" his friend urged.
The father rushed to get his children ready.
"Wake up, children," their father whispered urgently. "We have to leave — now."
"Why, Dad?" the siblings asked.
"Hurry, pack your things." "We're going to Seoul!" the father said excitedly.
"Really? Yayy!" Shin-Ae beamed, bouncing on her toes.
"Yes, whoever reaches Namsan Tower first, I'll treat to Jajangmyeon!" the father promised.
A heavy bang echoed through the cabin, followed by angry voices. The door rattled.
"Quick, children, get into the truck," he said nervously.
They hurried to the truck to escape. As the two siblings boarded the truck, their father was running towards them, and the children shouted:
"Dad! Dad! "Hurry up!" they cried out in fear.
But unfortunately, the father was caught by a group of men.
"Did you think you could escape?" Pay your debt! "You'll get hurt if you don't pay, fool!" they shouted angrily at him.
"Go now. Don’t look back!" their father cried. "I’ll meet you at Namsan Tower — I promise."
"Dad!" "Dad!" the siblings cried out as the truck was leaving.
Shin-Ae sobbed, “Sis, what’s going to happen to us?”
"Don't worry, I'm here." "I won't leave you," the older sister comforted.
The siblings fell asleep during the journey.
