"When are you coming? Almost everyone is here now," Mark Holt said through the link.
"I'm just leaving work. We had an important meeting."
"How long?"
"Maybe 15 minutes."
I entered the car and started to drive to our agreed-upon address. I had chosen a house 2 streets away from Erin's house. There were a lot of unclaimed males in the group and I wanted to avoid unnecessary risks. I had not, however, managed to stop myself from taking the same risks. That had been mind-blowing. I now understood why there were virtually no divorces among mated wolves. How could anyone compare with someone where you felt every response your partner made as if it were your own. There was no doubt as to whether your partner liked what you did. No such thing as only one of you leaving the bedroom
