Grayson immediately grabbed Marina by her waist and pulled her towards him. He exhaled sharply as he looked at her features. They seemed exhausted but at the same time confused and hurt. What he didn't understand was how Marina's mother seemed to take control over her conscious. He didn't even think it was possible to do that without a connection.
Marina must still have something that belongs to her mother for to be able to do this. Grayson quickly looked up when he heard someone coming over. He quickly hid with Marina behind the tree and secretly peeked over to see who came over to their porch. When he saw a breathless Adrianna, he sighed out and came out of his hiding spot.
