Blaze stared blankly at the ceiling, his thoughts a tangled mess of frustration and fatigue. The ticking clock on the wall seemed louder than usual, every tick reminding him of how slowly time passed when he needed it to fly. Sleep eluded him, just like peace had for as long as he could remember. His eyes shifted to the window, the moon casting a pale glow across his room.
