Reunion

I stood watching as Luce and Mr East stared each other down.
Mr East dropped my hair from his fingers, taking a step towards Luce.
I took this opportunity to make my escape, I grab my bag, backing away I look back as Luce's eyes snap to mine, causing Mr East to turn but its was too late.
"Noo-.." I heard luce say, as I jump out the window, I fell 2ms onto the roof of the canteen verandah below, landing where the tin met on a beam.
I looked up as they both stared down at me, eyes wide, I heard them cuss, I saluted them with a finger, and scooted to the edge of the roof and lowered myself onto the ground.
As soon as my feet hit the concrete, I was moving, I wasn't cross country champion for no reason, I legged it across the oval, down the golf course fairway it adjoined, straight to the bus station.
The bus was pulling up as I arrived, I looked at my watch 4.28pm, I bought a ticket and headed to the back.
What a weird day, I look forward to getting home, luckierly that didn't take long, as the bus lurched to a stop, I was off and running for home.
Today had been too much, I opened the door quickly shutting it behind me.
"Is that you Cassie?" Mum called out.
"Yes it is, I'll be in my room tough day and I need a shower." I replied, before she could corner me and question my late arrival.
I took the steps 2 at time, till I reached my room, I closed and lock the door behind me, sliding down against the door, I breathed a sigh of relief.
What the hell sort of sandwich did I just escape? and did Mr East just offer to be my boyfriend?
I'd watch an whole season of F is for Family before I'd laugh, cry and relaxed enough to think about going to sleep, I'd showered earlier, but in the height of the drama, I'd not remembered to buy my new uniform, so I could foresee another too tight uniform tomorrow..
I turned off my computer, placing it on charge beside my bed,
I lay back looking at the ceiling, what was I going to do about Luce and Mr East's Inappropriate behavior?
I closed my eyes waiting for sleep, I'd almost drifted away when I heard tapping on my window.
My eyes snapped open looking at my clock it was a bit after 12 o'clock, who the hell would be here this late?
I got up creeping to the window peeking out, but couldn't see anyone, I walked back flicking my lamp on and heading back to the window sliding it open.
"Oooh!" I was shoved out of the way.
"Sorry Cassie!" I snapped my neck to the voice to the two figures, looking guiltily down at me.
I rubbed my eyes again, A grin spreading across my face.
"Jasper! Serena!" I threw myself at them, both of them caught me, I snuggled into there shoulders!
My two best friends, they were twins, and gone away to there grandmothers over the holidays and weren't supposed to be back till next week.
"Hey Cas, I missed you so much! Gran's was ok but I wanted to be back here, so we could of scouted boys!" her eyebrows waggled at me. "But then again, I know a boy that was scouting only for you." She adds with a sideways look at her brother.
I blushed looking at Jasper, we'd been friends forever but had shared a kiss before the holidays, and I'd thought of him all summer, yesterday was the first day he hadn't crossed my mind between all the drama with Mr East and the new kid Luce.
"Hey Cas, you got hotter over summer." He winked, his eyes not leaving mine.
"Ok ok! Your not even supposed to be here! I was coming to see my best friend you just tagged along!"
Serena said shortly.
"So fill me in what new at school, what are we facing tomorrow?" Serena continued.
I rubbed my eyes again, slumping onto my bed, Jasper sat leaning back in my desk chair, and Serena remained standing.
I gave her a recap of the day, even the bit where Luce had dragged me out the back of the oval to talk and Mr East proposal of a relationship.
When I was finished Serena let out a low whistle.
"Wow you've been busy." She said with raised eyebrows.
I hesitantly looked over at Jasper, he face was tight, his eyebrows had knitted together in a frown.
His blue eyes were dark, his brown hair was messy, like he'd run his hand through it repeatedly, he was wearing the flannel I'd told him was my favorite before summer, black jeans and black biker boots, I raked my eyes down his exposed forearms, god I'd missed him.
*snap *snap *snap.
I pulled my attention back to the present where Serena was trying to get my attention.
"Stop raping my brother with your eyes!" She said curtly, I choked at her words, blushing, kill me now, I heard Jasper offer a chuckle in response to her words.
Serena had the same brown hair and blue eyes as Jasper, although her complexion had a few freckles across her nose and she was short and petite, opposed to her brother tall and broad.
"Anyway we want to hear more about this tomorrow, but we better get going, I just wanted to see you as soon as I could, I missed you." Serena grinned and I walkover over hiugging her agin.
"Thanks Serena, I'll need you tomorrow, hell I needed you today, I missed you more." I replied whole heartedly.
I looked at Jasper, his frown had gone, and his face was blank again, I stepped towards him, he smiled as I gave him a hug too.
He's arms felt strong and secure, his body was solid and steadying, his warmth was instant and I could smell faint musk of mens lynx, I held him a moment longer then Serena then let go.
I walked to the window, blushing at Serena's suggestive expression, I slid the window open.
"I'll see you tomorrow." Serena winked and was gone, Jasper crouch to follow but paused, looking back at me, he stood grasping the back of my neck he pulled me close, kissing me gently, I melted against him, and as quick as started he pulled away.
"I'll pick you up at 8am tomorrow for school." Jaspers eyes held a promise, as I nodded biting my lip.
Then he disappeared after Serena.
I dazely made my way back to my bed, looking at the time it was after 1am now, I climbed into bed feeling nervous at all this attention, I felt like I'd gone from boring to beautiful in one day.
