Carissa had many questions running through her head at that moment but seeing the state of Zoey, she preferred to keep shut and not cause more heartbreak.
She hugged her tightly and rubbed her back gently, trying to give her the comfort she needed.
The two stayed that way for a while before they went back to the house. Carissa quickly gave her some water to calm her down a bit and when she noticed Zoey was a bit calm, she started with her questions.
