The old Luna's eyes widened in rage, her face purpling with fury. "How dare you!" she thundered, her voice echoing off the walls.
Rebecca's voice rose to a shrill shout, her words dripping with venom.
"Did you just say you can't run an errand for the old Luna? What unmitigated audacity!" She punctuated her outburst with a swift kick, her heel connecting with Selene's shoulder, sending her stumbling backward.
Selene's eyes welled up with tears as she crumpled to the floor, her body shaking with fear.
"Please, forgive me, Your Highness," she sobbed, her voice trembling with desperation.
"I didn't mean to disobey, I'll do anything, just please forgive me."
