chapter 28 what the hell!

1161 Words
Brandon’s P.O.V Carla had long stopped crying and was now starting to breathe normal, I could feel her hate, anger and sadness leaving her body. She pulled away from me slightly and I looked down at her tear stained face as she sighed and then smiled up at me. I smiled at her and helped her stand up, handing her a towel so that she could wipe her eyes. She cleaned her face with the towel and then looked at me with a new form of determination in her eyes. “Thank you, but I need to make a promise to myself to never cry over them ever again. They are no longer my parents, they lost that right after what they did. The day they traded me I became an orphan.” Carla said and all I could do was nod, but something isn't adding up here. “Listen Carla, I am so sorry, when they arrived I asked them why they wanted to see you, but I had no idea that this was going to go down. I don't know what it is, but something is really weird about them, something feels off to me. I’m going to make some phone calls when we get back to the pack house and while I’m doing that, you take a shower and rest up for tomorrow, you're going to need it.” I replied and she nodded. I know this had taken a lot out of her, hell it had to have been emotionally traumatising for her, but she was strong and held her head high. We walked back to the pack house in silence, although all I wanted to do was comfort her, but I knew she was too angry for that and I didnt want her to push me away. Just as we were twenty steps from the pack house Sheryl walked out, flipping her hair back as soon as she saw me. Oh s**t, here comes trouble, I thought to myself as she walked over to us. We used to be f**k buddies, but she wanted more and I didnt. She was from another pack and she would sneak away to come meet me, but I made her leave when I found out that she had a mate. She would hide her mark and I never took much notice, but one day she forgot to hide it and as soon as I saw it I told her she should be with her mate. I tossed her out for trying to cheat on him, but now it made me wonder why she was here. Sheryl walked right up to me, standing way too close for my comfort. “Brandon, sweetie, I was looking all over for you. I’m here to spend time with you and when I got here you weren't anywhere to be found. Who is this? She looks like she's been playing in a sweat house. Hi, my name is Sheryl, I’m the Luna of this pack and what is your name?” Sheryl asked, making me slightly growl as she held her hand out and introduced herself as my Luna. Carla was already pissed from earlier and I thought she would scream and shout, but she didn't say a single word. Carla brought her fist back and with one punch she knocked Sheryl out. I watched as she hit the ground hard and burst out laughing, waving for the guards to come over. The guards stood there, waiting for me to give them an order, but all I could do was try to control my laughter. That was the best thing I had ever seen. “Get this piece of garbage out of my territory and tell her mate what she has done, let him handle her.” I said, finally composing myself. I took Carla’s hand, but she jerked it away from me and stormed into the pack house, going straight up to my bedroom. I knew she was going to shower and relax like I had suggested for her to do earlier, so I just walked to my office to make the calls I needed to. After I had finished making the phone calls I left my office and headed upstairs to my room, but as soon as I walked through the door a book was swung at my head. I ducked just in time and the book hit against the wall behind me. “What the f**k was that all about, Carla?” I asked, shocked. “WHO THE HELL IS SHERYL?! WHY THE HELL DID SHE THINK SHE WAS LUNA OF THIS MAFIA PACK?! THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL SHE IS TAKING MY SPOT!! THE STUPID b***h!!!” Carla shouted at me, growling slightly. I was expecting ehr to react like this when we were downstairs, but I am glad she waited till we were in private, I just didn't expect a book to be launched at my head. Suddenly another book came flying at me, missing my face by an inch, but that was too close for my liking. “Carla, she was an old fling.” I replied, sighing and I could see the hurt on Carla’s face and in her eyes. I was Carla’s first, but now she knew that I didn't only sleep with my first mate, I also slept with Sheryl. “When I found out that Sheryl had a mate I made her go and be with him. I haven't seen her in over a year and I don't know why she came here today. She must have heard I found my mate, so I guess she wanted to come and start trouble, but instead she got knocked the hell out. I didn't have any feelings for her whatsoever, it was just a f**k every now and then.” I said, but it was like each word I said made the hurt in her eyes grow. I waited for her to say something, anything, even if she threw another book at me, it would have been something, but instead she stood there in silence. I watched as the hurt on her face disappeared, only to be replaced with a blank expression, but I could still see the hurt in her eyes. “All I have to say is that if she shows her face here again I will rip her head off and kill her.” Carla replied and I quickly nodded, but just as I was about to say something she started speaking again. “Did you find anything out about my parents?” Carla asked and that was the worst question she could have asked me. I was dreading this because she was already pissed off and hurt and after hearing what I had to say she might be even worse, but she needed to know everything.
