Chapter 7 In for a rude awaking

1202 Words
Brandon’s P.O.V   I was excited to go home and see her, but as soon as I walked in through the door Kidz stopped me and told me everything that had happened and what she had done. I was more than a little shocked after he told me what she had done to Eppes, but I was also impressed by the fire she had.    “She is going to be a handful, are you sure you can cope with her? She said she’s not obeying anyone that isn't even here to show his face to her. She’ll go anywhere she wants to go. She said she is not a child and that she will make her own rules as she goes. She said and I quote “I’m not a slave and nor am I a prisoner here, so whatever plans anyone has for me, better watch their step. I’m not going to be easy to live with. Hell, I just got traded to Goddess only knows who and he's not here, so do you really think I’m going to obey him?” Those were her exact words when I told her she was going to have to follow the rules.” Kidz said, making me laugh.   “She is a feisty one, isn't she? She will be perfect and to answer your question, yes, I can handle her.” I replied, making him smile and shake his head at the same time.   “Best of luck with that one.” Kidz said, smirking at me. After we spoke I walked upstairs to my room, all the time smelling her scent, but when I got to the door I saw a hamper sitting outside. I walked over to it and saw that it was filled with all of my clothes and a shirt that I knew I hadn't worn recently. I picked up the shirt and could smell her scent on it, making me happy that she had worn it. I looked up at the door only to find a note taped to it, I pulled it down and began to read it. Wash these before you even step foot in this door. After you wash your clothes make sure you dont wake me up. You sleep on the couch. Stop testing me, the tests end now. I want to know what you want with me in the morning or let me leave. Carla.    I chuckled as I grabbed the hamper full of clothes and carried it back down stairs to the laundry room. I washed, dried and folded all the clothes just as Kidz walked in and started laughing at me as soon as he saw what I was doing.   “She did say she wasn't your slave or maid and I guess she has proved it by making you wash your own clothes.” Kidz said, laughing.   “Yeah, she left a note on the door, telling me I had to before I even stepped foot inside my own room. So, the one thing you haven't told me is what she looks like. Is she tall, short? Is she beautiful?” I asked, desperate to know what she was like.   “Dude, you have been watching her since she was twelve years old, how can you not know this?” Kidz asked, shaking his head in confusion.   “Because I wasn't the one watching her, I had others do it for me and a lot has happened since then, she has grown up and changed.” I replied, still folding clothes.   “I don't get it, you were waiting for the right time to get her and you knew that her old man had borrowed money that he couldn't pay back, but to send her to those people. Of all the auctions, you sent her there, why?” Kidz asked, frowning at me. He was right about me waiting for the right time to get her, but he was wrong about the rest of it.   “I didn't send her there, I would never send anyone to that hell hole. The ones that run that place had been watching her as well and when they found out about her fathers debts they approached him with an offer before our people could get to her. This is why I had to make you hurry to get there and bid on her before anyone else won her. She is going to be one hell of a fighter, I can tell, but I’m going to have to train her before she starts to fight. People are going to start calling for her and if I can just get her into a fight in the fighting club then it would be perfect. No one would dare to challenge her after she fights the fights I want her to do.” I replied, but I could see that Kidz had some doubt.   “How do you know? How do you know that she's the one?” Kidz asked and I just smiled.   “She's perfect, trust me she's perfect. I don't want anyone to see her, not until her fight, which is in two weeks time. Tomorrow I’m going to let her do some online shopping because she needs clothes and I need to have shirts to wear.” I said, looking down at the shirt I knew she had been wearing. It still had her scent on it and I was happy about that.   “You are going to have your hands full with her.” Kidz said, making me laugh.   “Yeah, I know, but until then I am going to go to bed, well, the couch. Night, man.” I said, grabbing the hamper and walking out of the laundry room, all the while Kidz was shaking his head at me, smirking. I slowly opened the bedroom door and carefully placed the hamper down beside the dresser, before hanging up everything I needed to and putting away everything else in the dresser. I turned around to face the bed, seeing her figure lying there wearing another one of my shirts. I chuckled as I turned away, closing the bedroom door and walking over to the couch. I was so tired and I really wanted to be here when she arrived, but I was out late getting things ready for the party next week. I looked at the alarm clock on the side of the bed, setting the alarm for five in the morning. The challenger would be here next week to be introduced for the first fight and I needed to get Carla ready. I went to the bathroom and showered, then dried off before grabbing a blanket out of the cupboard and going back over to the couch. I laid down thinking about everything Kidz had told me about her and what had happened, what she had said and it made me chuckle again. She was going to have a rude awakening tomorrow and she was going to go by my rules, whether she liked it or not, I thought as I drifted off to sleep.
