Alice POV:
Everything was moving way too fast - I couldn't even tell you what was only going on as the wind blew my hair all around us - the only thing I did know for certain was that this was very serious for my father even bother to step up to help me - but the bigger question I had was why was Serena there?
I did keep trying to yell at my father to take me back - we had to help her, to which he ignored - frustrated me even more - I mean already hated him - but I've already told you all that - but this was making me hate him even more why is he listening? - She is only human which makes everything even more dangerous.
"WE NEED TO GO BACK!" I yelled once again brushing their hair out of my face, "WE CAN'T JUST LEAVE HER THERE TO DIE!"
But like I said - he just ignored me continuing to fly at a rapid speed. I did try to squirm and wiggle my way out of his grasp, knowing full well I would probably drop down dead - but it would be better than just leaving Serena there to die in vain
Before I even knew it we were landing on the ground in an empty field with only grass beneath us and trees out off reach - I don't know how to explain it but I felt a weird pole coming from somewhere behind me, like I need to go there like, I should be there, like I've always should have been there.
The sun was setting just over the tree line in the opposite direction - for some reason this place just seems spiritual - I don't know if that's the right word to put it but it just felt - it felt like home for some reason - I can tell you why honestly.
As I was looking around kind of in awestruck I almost completely forgot about Serena - bad friend I know - that's when I turned towards my father who was watching me very closely, "We have to go back - we can't just leave Sarena to defend for herself".
Sighing my father just shook his head slightly, "That won't be necessary - or she can take care of herself".
I almost felt like snapping right there and then I am, "What you mean she take care of herself?"
He just stuck there for a moment or two like he was thinking what he needed to say next - when he did finally say something I didn't fully comprehend what he was saying nor did I let it fully sink in.
"Serena... I don't know how to fully tell you without telling you the truth", He started to say rubbing the back of his head slightly which I finally noticed that his wings had folded inwards, "She it's not what you think she has - for you see not only myself but your uncle who you've met before without knowing you knowing you have met him - well for your safety he had hired - more like boss one of his demons...into...being...basically...your - well - your bodyguard".
Alex POV:
I don't know how long I want to speed walking or even running or if I was doing a mixable I don't know - all I knew was I was in a hurry to somewhere that my gut was telling me to go. It wasn't the wolf in me luckily it was the witch and me that was telling me what to do taking me where I needed to go.
Before I knew it I was standing outside of the large building which I would assume with a humans school building dash but I couldn't be too sure they all look the same to me pretty much - the only thing that gave me the idea that it was a student building was because they were a bunch of teenagers and it looks like some adults standing outside in the field all hot altogether a little bunches and patches.
They weren't the reason though that I was there - I could tell you that within that bunch there was not my mate - but she had been there in that building before - finally caught a scent of hers - I knew she wasn't there now but I knew that she was before.
I wanted to make my way into the building when I first saw, but I can smell the angelic and demonic that emanated from the building - it was overwhelmingly strong.
That was until I caught a whiffed of her scent - and I knew I was sniffing the air trying to locate exactly where it was coming from - for me the scent smelled of a warm inviting campfire, which to some might sound weird but when it comes to a wolf scent of their mate it's usually something that they value and that they love the smell of - and for me the smell of the campfire is the most magical scent I've ever smelt. For the last time my parents were alive we were camping with a nice large campfire.
Once I was able to decide which direction the scent was coming from I felt my stomach drop - for it was coming from the building where the angelic and demonic scents or admitting from. I feared more than anything but something happened to my mate - I knew she wasn't dead I could feel that but I didn't know she was hurt or if she was even still in there only I knew she was an outside that's for sure but I figured she might be in there and she might be in danger.
So against my better judgment I ran past the people in the weird black and white suits wearing things on their heads heading towards the inside of the building as they kept yelling for me to stop I ignore them. honestly all I cared about was the safety of my mate and I had to make sure she was okay. Nothing else matters to me - for if I lost her I would lose my entire world even though I've never met her yet.
