Like Father Like Daughter

As I walked into what you'd guess was the kitchen since I was not only large, but had marble countertop, a large double door refrigerator, and island in the center and a counter where I'm guessing was a bar extensions, with three black bar stools. The cabinets where made of fine wood, over the sink with a glass window looking out at a yard, and it seemed to possibly fully stocked - but I would have to look. In-between this area there where two french doors leading off onto a deck and I could see with flower posts and I think I see a fountain - but I'd have to move closer to see for sure. On the other side of the kitchen was a dinning room area with a large grand table with chairs that you'd think where in King Arthur's Court, with gold frame and red cushions the bottoms and back. My father had already had made himself comfortable waiting for me to enter the room. He was swaying a wine glass with some brown liquid inside, he watched each sway. "Please have a set", Gabriel said gesturing for me to take a set across from him. I blow throw my noise beyond pissed at the way he was acting - like - I - I had done something wrong, like everything in my life that has gone wrong was my fault, the fact I was even standing there at this time - I call B*LLSHIT!! Come on, I never asked to be born, to have angelic powers, my father's side out to kill me, to have to hid who I am or what I can do. "How is any of this my fault?" Without realizing I had said that in a dull tone as angry tears started rolling down my cheeks. God's I hate how I was feeling, but I felt hurt by everything that's happened thus far. "Alice", my father said sadly but not getting up, "Please take a set - I know your hurting - but I need you to listen". I moved over and plopped down in the chair across from him folding my arms over my chest. My tears had started to calm down - a couple still escaping down my cheek. "Well?" I snapped trying to prompt him to talk. He took a sip of his drink before he said, "First off your wrong - I've been keeping an eye on you - but only from afar", he paused before taking another swig, "But to keep you safe I was not able to get super close - I had put up and invisible shield around your mother's home to keep you safe, along with your car and school". I sat there taking in what he had just told me, some of what he was saying did make sense, but I was not fully sure if I believed what he was saying. Before I could add anything he went on, "I think it was - well, to strong - I'd not have even noticed that your powers had even present - I thought they would have remain weak - I had not known they where this strong", then he chuckled to himself, " boy was I wrong". There was a couple moments of silence before he continued, "Due to them showing even now with you sitting across from me I can feel the overwhelming energy you are admitting", he said before looking at me. I sat there taking in what he had just said before shaking my head slightly, "I know that I have angelic powers, and that depending on how angry or pissed off I get - but I've learned to cover that up and control it", I said confused. He smiled sadly at me, "Alice that maybe true to an extent - but I think we both know that to not really be true". Alex POV: "Kid, it's time to wake up", a gruff voice said shaking me slightly. I moved away the hand that was shaking me grunting. "You can sleep at home, not here kid - so you need to get up", the voice said annoying me again. "Ugh", I replied as I was turning my head to the side away from the source of the noise. "Come on - get up", the voice said again shaking me again. "Come on uncle Mike, just leave me alone", I mumbled not fully awake. "I'm not your uncle Mike kid", the voice said gruffly making my eyes fly open. As I jerked awake sitting up more, and taking in a deep breath trying to regain myself. Looking around taking in my surroundings I saw that I was partially laying, but also leaning up partway before noticing Jim. "Glad your finally awake", Jim said sitting on his chair, "Have a nice time out there kid?" He asked leaning back. As I sat up all the way, "How did you know I was even there?" "Kid I've known you sneaking out for sometime - you find what you've been looking for?" Jim asked yawning. "How long have you known?" I asked taken aback slightly - here I thought I was being sneaky. "Kid sometimes I may be out, but truthfully I'm never really out of it - or you know I would not have this job", Jim replied pulling his arms over his head stretching. Sighing, "I have never done anything bad while out there so you know", I started. He patted my head, "I know - you just need to be extra careful - more and more hunters have been spotted around here". I smiled, "I don't think I'll be needing to worry about that", I said going crosses lag, "I found my mates sent - I smell it even right here". Jim's face feel slightly, "I hope it's not that kid - her father will kill you before you could even talked to her", he said patting me on the shoulder sighing and looking apologetic towards me.
