Family...Huh?

Alex POV:

As I walked home I was confused to what Jim was talking about, " Crazy old man", I mumbled.

I could not understand why he'd say something confusing - did he know something I did not?

None of it made sense I sighed shaking my head slightly as I walked in the door to see my aunt standing there arms crossed and very pissed off.

"Where have you been young man?" Lilly asked tapping her foot.

"Out - you already know I did not go to school today - so I don't know what's the problem", I said as I shut the door behind me.

"Jim called", Lilly said flatly making me tensing up slightly.

"Oh yeah?" I tried to play if off smoothly.

"Don't try to play dumb with me", she said slightly raising her voice.

"He told us everything", I heard my uncle Mike yell from the other room.

"MIKE I GOT THIS!!" My aunt yelled back - and let me tell you she hardly got pissed off so it was surprising to see.

"Tell me the truth - and tell me now", Lilly snapped looking back towards me.

Sighing knowing full well lying was not going to end well, "Ok, yeah I went to the human territory - and yeah this is not the first time".

I chewed on my lower lip before continuing, "I-I was able to find my mate -", but before I could continue my aunt's eyes light up, and my uncle came tripping out of the living room catching himself.

"Well? Where is she?" He asked looking behind me like I was hiding her.

"I was about to say - I found her sent - but it was in the human territory and then it seemed to move closer here".

For a moment they both seemed down before looking between each other and nodding before turning back to me.

"How sure that it was maybe a false lead? You know hunters know that and can play with a wolf's sensus", Mike said placing his hand lightly on my shoulder.

"And if it's not the case - how has she not been found this long?" My aunt asked walking over to me taking my hand.

Sighing, "I know - I always have been careful when I do go into the territory", I said looking between them.

"And that even I don't know - I'm hoping when I find her she can answer that - but I know she is now here somewhere", I said with a smile.

Alice POV:

I woke up as the sun raises where shinning through the curtains, I sat up a little confused how I got back to my room.

Getting out of the bed rubbing my hand over my face to try and wake myself up, I turned and headed downstairs.

"Coffee here I come", I said more to myself turning towards the kitchen.

This time when I got to the kitchen I knew where the mugs where kept and grabbed my mug wondering how it got cleaned and put pack - my father did not seem like the type who would do dishes.

"And your right", I turned to see me father yawning as he walked into the room.

"What do you mean?" I asked then thought as I added, "And how do you know what I was thinking?"

"First question", he said getting himself a cup, "the house takes care of everything and know what we want and needs".

As he took a sip of his coffee he said, "Like the lights, the television, and what not", he turned to look a me.

"And it will also protect itself from any harm and those inside - why do you think yesterday you where unable to leave the house?" He asked before taking another sip.

"So your locking me up", I asked getting annoyed slightly.

He sighed, "No - and now that leads into your second question - your powers are everywhere and some of your thoughts have been leaking out".

I blinked, "I thought I could control my powers", I looked down, "I mean I know you told me the other day that some of my abilities have become a ticking time bomb".

He lifted my chin, "Alice you have done more then you think power wise that even myself and I believe you as well have done - and we will get to that - but right now let's wake up some more", he said finishing his coffee before placing his mug in the sink.

Returning to look back at me, "Today we will start to not only see what your capable of, but how to not only control the power - but to find out what your abilities are - each angel has a different ability".

Blinking I asked, "Wait angels do t all have the same abilities?"

Chuckling he replied, "We have the healing abilities, and teleportation", at that I shivered never wanting to go through that again, and there are a couple of other abilities we have in common - but we all also have are own ability that is unique to us".

I stood there taking in what he just said before asking, "Do you know what mine is?"

He smiled at me sadly, "I have a feeling what it might be - but right now let's see if my theory is correct or if I'm just jumping the gun".

He started the walk out of the kitchen before stopping and adding, "Be ready in an hour - we will start training", then he walked out of the kitchen.

Standing there and sighing as I grabbed the coffee and pouring myself some before adding some creamer, "Ugh I hate exercising", I said to myself leaning against the counter.

"NOR DO I", I heard my father yell from another room.

"Ugh", I mumbled - I hated when people hear me in these kind of cases - and I have a sneaking suspicion that this was going to happen quite often.

Taking a large drink of my coffee before making another cup - I could guess that today was going to be a long s**t show.
