No Point Anymore

Alice POV: I stared at him blankly as it started to fully sink in I was unsure if he was being serious or not, "What do you mean there is no internet?" I asked. "Well there is magic there, so no real point in the need for internet or electronic devices such as cellphones, computes, or anything else like it", he replied simply like I would be totally ok with that answer. "Yeah...uhh...NO!" I replied - the internet was my life - literally - it was how I lived - it was the only way I was able to even afford food, clothing, gas for my car, whatever I needed I worked with my gaming streaming to pay for. "Alice I don't understand, it's not the end of days without such things", Gabriel said not understanding the problem I had. "That right there just shows how much you don't know anything about me", I replied stepping back away from him shacking my head. "Then tell me, why you think it's so important to have access to such devices", Gabriel replied confused. "How do you think I've been able to survive?, I asked already taking a guess at his next reply. "The money I send your mother", he said as I made a small sad smile at that. "Thought you'd guess that", I replied sadly shaking my head slightly, "no, I had to find my own way of making money - sure when I was younger some neighbors would help feed me or friends parents when I went over - they would also give me clothing - when my old brother was able to go to food banks he'd be able to get us food, he had to learn to take care of me at a young age, now I have to take care of myself since he has been busy with his college classes and such". "Oh and let me add that money you would give her went to her weekly new boy toy", I replied folding my arms in front of my chest looking off to the side. "So yeah I just can't drop my gamer life for some fantasy word s**t - even if my life depends on it", I continued looking off into the distance for a moment before looking back at my father who I could have sworn I'd seen a spark of anger flash in his eyes like I've never seen before - and hoped to never again. After a what seemed like a couple minutes of the now awkward silence he finally spoke up, "We can talk more about this after we leave this area - and let me just add - I don't only want the full details on your mother - put I want to know how she treated you", he said sighing seeming annoyed, "And I will try and find some way you can game". I think he added that last part as a way to get me moving into this other area, "I will only go if that's a - yeah I will get you the gaming area for you", I replied a little selfishly - and yeah I know that, but bills I have learned can't be paid by others. "I will try", my father said holding out his hand towards me to take, "You will have to hold my hand tightly since this is your first time in this place". He said calmly. Hesitating slightly before I placed my own hand in his as we both turned towards where I could feel the pull admitting from somewhere off to my right - now Infront of me, taking a deep breath we stepped forward. Alex POV: I came to a complete stop to catch my breath, luckily humans where to self absorbed in their black devices in their hands or thing in or over there ears - I could hear what sounded like music coming from them. But I was not focusing to much on them as I was making sure that no hunters had followed me - and yes hunters do have their own unique smell to them. For they really are just hypocrites to tell the truth - they are excommunicated witches and warlocks who have committed various degrees of crimes such as murder or planning to eliminate all humans and take over within the magical community - and henceforth they where banded, and stripped of any harmful powers or memories of the difference locations that separated humans and supernatural beings. They at lest got to keep their memories of there crimes - but it does not help that a lot of them end up harboring their hatred for their banishment. You maybe also wondering what they smell like, and yeah I know it can be a wired question, but trust me they have a smell - and to put it bluntly - rotting - well - death. And no humans can't smell that horrible stench. And yeah I mean it truly does smell that bad. As I was straightening myself back up I was glad not only was I not being followed - but today, today I finally found what my mates sent was, and now I knew that she was actually close by - meaning I would find her soon. I could not help smiling at the thought, I am glad that she was safe - and she was also close by and her wonderful warming smell of a warm comfortable campfire feels me with joy and hope. With an almost hop in my step I headed back towards the entrance of the supernatural lands - which hopefully soon it would become hers whomever she maybe. *Authors note: This is going to be such a short chapter - I hope your enjoying, and thank you for reading this far*
