Chapter 041: Trapped That day, without realizing it, Anindira had wandered far from the village. Normally, the village guards would have warned her whenever she strayed too close to the boundary. But today, not a single guard was in sight. Unaware, her steps carried her beyond the village limits and into the Blue Forest that bordered the village's western territory. The forest was quiet, yet mesmerizing—a vast carpet of bluebell flowers covered the forest floor, while towering trees stretched high above, forming a natural canopy. A thin mist drifted through the warm summer air, and sunlight pierced through gaps in the leaves like dancing spotlights upon the ground. The beauty only deepened her unease; the silent forest felt as though it were waiting for something, hiding unseen eyes among the shadows. Several pairs of glowing eyes watched her every movement from behind the trees. THUMP! Anindira startled. Without warning, four tall, muscular, handsome young men emerged from the trees and blocked her path. THUMP. THUMP. THUMP. Their aura sent a chill through her. Her survival instincts sounded an immediate alarm. Her heart pounded wildly, and her hands trembled slightly. SCRAPE. She tried to step back, stumbling as she retreated, but it was too late. The four young men had already surrounded her, forming a tight circle. “So that scent really is coming from her,” one of them said, satisfaction evident in his voice. “You were right,” added the one with *Emerald eyes, wearing a terrifying smile. “I never expected we'd get her without any effort. Either she's careless or far too bold... wandering around alone without guards while she's in her *fertile cycle.” “I don't smell a mate's scent on her,” said another *Diamond Hyena as he leaned closer to inspect her. “Of course not. This child is still very young. Pure,” the *Emerald Hyena replied, staring at her intently. “No one has marked her yet.” “Not marked yet?!” cried the smallest *Diamond Hyena, his eyes lighting up. He began playing with Anindira's hair, making her let out a small cry as she slapped his hand away. Anindira repeatedly pushed their hands aside, but they kept reaching for her, deliberately touching her. The tension escalated. Her muscles tightened, her breathing grew uneven, and cold sweat rolled down her forehead. “Ah!” the smallest *Diamond Hyena exclaimed, his face brightening. “Now I understand! She just reached puberty. Her family... hasn't realized it yet.” “Hahaha... your family is careless. Letting a girl at such a vulnerable age wander around alone,” said the *Emerald Hyena, patting her shoulder while looking at her with obvious satisfaction. Only one of them possessed *Emerald eyes. The other three had *Diamond eyes. The *Emerald clearly appeared to be their leader. “She just entered her *fertile cycle. Her scent isn't strong enough to make us lose control yet. But soon...” His smile widened, and his eyes gleamed sharply. “It'll become very difficult to restrain ourselves.” His companions' playful laughter echoed through the forest, making the once-peaceful silence feel terrifying. “Then we should leave quickly,” said the oldest *Diamond Hyena with a grin. “Her family is probably looking for her already. Even though she does not yet have a mate, the scent of her *fertile period can be detected from the scent trail she leaves behind. She can be tracked for the next few days.” “You're right,” replied the younger *Diamond Hyena seriously. “The four of us are going to have her soon enough,” said the smallest *Diamond Hyena. “But be patient. We can't afford to get caught.” “As soon as it's safe from tracking, we'll have our fun with her,” the *Emerald Hyena added as he stepped closer. His hand roamed over Anindira's body. She immediately jumped back, eyes widening. “What do you want?!” Anindira cried, retreating while batting away the wandering hands that kept trying to violate her personal space. “I... I'm under the protection of the Village Chief!” Her body trembled violently. Her heartbeat thundered like a war drum, and cold sweat dripped down her forehead. Every sign of fear was plainly visible to Beasts with senses as sharp as theirs. “The Village Chief?!” the youngest *Diamond Hyena scoffed, raising an eyebrow. “That only matters... if he can find her.” “You've already wandered far beyond your village territory. Didn't you know that?” the oldest *Diamond Hyena added with a chuckle, his voice grating against her ears. “She obviously didn't know!” the smallest *Diamond Hyena interrupted. “That's why she's with us now.” The *Emerald Hyena grinned, his eyes gleaming sharply as he looked at Anindira the way a predator stared at its prey. “The deaths of the village guards have probably already been discovered. You wandered this far without anyone warning you... bad luck for you. Once we take you away, they won't be able to find you—you don't have a mate.” “HAHAHAHA...” Their laughter boomed through the silent Blue Forest, sending a suffocating chill through the air. “W-w-wha...?!” Anindira stammered, her voice hoarse. “K-k-killed?!” Her face turned pale, almost bluish. Her body shook violently. Her breathing came in ragged gasps. Her eyes widened as she stared at the men she had never seen before. They were different. Intimidating. Terrifying. She wanted to scream. She wanted to cry. But her voice caught in her throat, and her lips trembled. “N-no matter what you're doing... please... stop!” Tears streamed down her face. Her body trembled violently. She tried to push them away, tried to defend herself, but she could not overcome their strength. “Woman, your scent is getting stronger. If this continues, we'll only become more intoxicated. You can't blame us for that. You're tempting us with your scent,” the *Emerald Hyena said with a grin, his gaze filled with obscene fantasies as he reveled in Anindira's body scent, which resembled a natural *Aphrodisiac. Two *Diamond Hyenas moved at the same time, closing in from both sides. Anindira reacted before she could even scream. Her body pivoted half a step. Her shoulders lowered. Her arm swept outward to break the incoming grab. “NO! LET ME GO!” She knocked one hand away, her fingers striking the attacker's wrist at a precise angle—a joint-release technique she knew by heart. The Hyena grunted and staggered slightly. But another had already seized her arm from behind. “AAARRGHHH!!! LET ME GO! PLEASE—!” Pain exploded through her body as brutal pressure crushed her wrist and shoulder. This was not a human grip. Too strong. Too precise. Her joints creaked beneath force deliberately twisted beyond safe limits. Anindira clenched her teeth, holding back a scream that threatened to break free. She kicked backward—a low kick aimed at the shin, quick and controlled. There was impact. There was a reaction. But not release. “EURGH—!” Her body lifted slightly from the ground as her shoulder slammed into a tree trunk. The rough bark scraped across her back. The air was driven from her lungs. For a moment, her chest felt completely empty. Her vision blurred, yet her mind continued working. Forced to survive. The tears falling from her eyes were not tears of surrender. Her nervous system was simply screaming. Pain, fear, and survival instinct merged into one. “Be still.” The *Emerald Hyena's voice was low and cold, nearly a whisper against her ear. “Unless you want us to hurt you even more.” Anindira did not stay still. She lowered her center of gravity. Bent her knees. Rotated her hips through a narrow angle—a classic escape attempt against a side restraint. Her left elbow drove toward a ribcage. Her right hand searched for an opening to reverse the hold. Her movements were clean. Practiced. Controlled despite the fear. But her opponents possessed strength beyond human calculation. One Hyena laughed softly when her strike only made him shift half a step. Another tightened his grip, deliberately toying with her rhythm—applying pressure, loosening slightly, then squeezing harder again. A predator's game. Again and again, Anindira struggled. She kicked. Twisted. Applied every technique correctly. But every act of resistance was answered with greater force. Not to incapacitate her. To enjoy her fear. Second after second stretched endlessly. Then, amidst the intoxicating haze of pain, Anindira noticed something. The grip on her left arm shifted slightly. Too confident. Too close. Her breathing came in ragged gasps. Her body trembled. But her eyes remained focused. She lowered herself further, letting her weight drop. Rotated her shoulder along the line of pressure. A tiny opening. Very tiny. But enough. An opportunity. Gathering the last reserves of strength she still possessed, Anindira slipped sideways, forcing her body through the gap before the predators realized their mistake. She did not escape because she was lucky. She escaped because she fought.
