Tori I felt like I was a mouse in a trap and for some reason, Tommy was the cheese. It couldn’t have been him! Why would he drag me into this?! “Where were you?”He asked me, his green eyes—oh those enchanted forest eyes!--leering at me. “Home. Out.”I was struggling and he had a grip on my arm that was starting to burn, “You’re hurting me, Tommy.” “That’s the f*****g point, Tori,”He sneered, gazing out the back door at his posse. Somehow,we ended up in an empty classroom, “Tell me now so I can spare your life.” “Spare my life?”I croaked, adjusting to the tingling in my arms, “Please just let me go. I won’t tell anyone. I swear.” Tommy loosened his grip on me. If I was any other girl, this wouldn’t be happening. Any other girl would be Tommy’s little slut, Tommy’s girlfriend, Tommy’s nothing and his everything. “You’re not going to tell anyone?”Tommy chuckled, “Of course you’re not going to tell anyone. You belong to me now.” “Why didn’t you just leave it alone?!”I asked him. “Testing me?” “Call me advenurous!”Tommy waved his arms in the air, “I knew it was you and I needed to know whether or not you could tell it was us. Now that I know there’s a possibility that you can snitch us out to dear old dad, I have to silence you.” “Don’t hurt me,” I sobbed like a baby. I felt so vulnerable, so desperate, so very hopeless. “I’m not going to hurt you...much,”Tommy said with a devilish grin, “I don’t want to kill you, but I can’t trust you not to go to your daddy with this information. Not after that guy was shot.” “What do I need to do?”I begged, “Please?! I’ll do anything.” Tommy rubbed his chin and leaned into me, “You’re going to be my little plaything.” Tommy What in the living hell was I doing? This poor girl was practically pissing her pants in front of me and I was letting it happen. When I told her what I wanted from her, she wasn’t scared anymore—she was angry. I liked that side of her. “I’m not f*****g you,”Tori said, glaring at me, “You can just kill me.” I had to laugh. “You’d rather be dead than have this?”I ran a hand over my chest and abs. She swallowed hard as if I was probably in her fantasies at least one point in her life. “You and dear old dad,”I thought about it, “Or maybe just dad and I’ll still make you mine. You don’t even know what the boys would do to you if they found out. I could just tell them...” “NO!” She squealed, plastering a hand to her mouth. She regained her composure. “This doesn’t make sense,”she shook her head, “How long would I even have to do it? I told you I’m not going to say anything. Isn’t my word enough?” It was. I knew she wouldn’t say anything. I wasn’t worried too much about me or her, though. I was worried if she slipped up and let the boys know that it was her at the back of the store. They wouldn’t show the mercy I was showing her. Hell, they might not even show me the mercy if they found out what I was doing right now. “Money then?” “What? I pay YOU?! I’m not the criminal here!” She was pretty hot when she got feisty. “Yeah, but you also have a lot to lose and so does your father.” “You’re a cruel man. You know I don’t have any money,” She pleaded with her eyes. I almost felt bad for her. Almost. I could see her trembling, but I had s**t to do and this was getting boring. “You have until this afternoon to decide,”I told her, “Do not leave this school until you’ve given me an answer. Don’t try to run. Don’t try to hide. I will find you.” I leaned into her. She flinched. “You’d better make the right decision, Tori.” With that, I left her standing in that classroom, dumbfounded and scared shitless. Tori My life was over. Even if I tried to call the police, they’d know. I don’t know how far their reach went. I don’t know what they were truly capable of. What did he want with me? I wanted my Mom. None of this would have happened if I hadn’t been in that store! My father always taught me not to react and I did. I failed the test Tommy gave me and now I’m in trouble. I walked out of the classroom right as Tommy, Glenn and the others were walking in the back entrance to the building. I tried to get away from them, but the chaos of the crowd swarming us made Tommy brush up against me, his fingers caressing the top of my hand. He looked down at me and winked. No one else paid me any mind except for Tommy who refused to let me walk ahead of him. Knowing what they were capable of, knowing that they’d had no problem with shooting Leroy, but they spared me. “Come to my locker,”I told him. He obliged with a shrug. “Why didn’t you kill me? Why did you shoot Leroy?” I asked him in a hushed whisper while we stood by my locker. “I told you what I want. You might even enjoy it.” “Enjoy what? Being your plaything?” “Why not?” “Because it’s coercion.” Tommy scoffed, “Oh please...” He didn’t care. I could tell he cared not one damn bit about me or my feelings or what he was doing to me. “What about Leroy?” “I didn’t shoot him. He pulled a gun on my brother. I spared your f*****g life, Tori, and I didn’t have to.” I sighed, “I’ll let you know this afternoon.” Tommy smiled, crookedly. “I hate you right now, Knox.” I seethed before slamming my locker shut and walking away. Tommy She was going to say yes. I’d have my way with her, some good ole fun times, get her all riled up and maybe interested in joining my little crew, then I’d never have to worry about her opening her mouth. Glenn was still being a little whiner when I got to the cafeteria later in the day. “We still don’t have enough money to tie us over,”he frowned, “Just a few more stores and we can actually get the house back.” I slid down into the seat, flicking my hair back. “What about Mom?” “What the f**k about her? She’ll get her cut to give pimp ass Hector,” Glenn seethed. Mom was a hooker, but she wasn’t good at keeping her end of the deals. She spent most of the money on dope before giving her pimp his cut. “Why don’t we just off Hector?”Donnie shoveled some mashed potatoes in his mouth. “Not going to happen,”I shook my head, “He’s too well known.” Tori walked in, her nose in a book as usual. She didn’t look up at me. I wondered if reading was her escape. There was no way she wasn’t thinking about her life and how f****d up it was going to be after she said yes to our little deal. She sat down at a table alone. I noticed she had very few friends and the one’s she did have rarely had classes with her. In this school, not many people cared much for you if your folks were in the position of authority. Hell, most people treated her like crap from what I saw. I suddenly caught her eye and her demeanor changed. She frowned, her face turning beet red. I don’t know whether or not she was scared, angry, embarrassed or all three, but I couldn’t wait to have her all to myself this weekend. I counted down the hours until she was going to be all mine.
