Tori
“The f**k is she doing here?” Donnie asked as we approached his vehicle.
“She owes me money,” Tommy said as I tried to hide behind him. I didn’t trust him, but he’s all I had as a shield.
“Oh, s**t!” Shane laughed, “How much, Loomis?”
Tommy interjected before I could, “Couple hundred. She spent it on crap instead of that piece of s**t car of hers.”
My mouth dropped and I was just about to protest when Tommy glared at me and nodded.
“Yeah, what he said,” I rolled my eyes.
Donnie smacked his lips together, “So what’s she owe you now?”
Tommy pushed a strand of hair out of my eyes. I flinched, but he kept caressing my face.
“Oh I think we can figure something out.”
I cringed, but allowed Tommy to take control. I couldn’t help but enjoy his touch, even if he did get a little rough.
“So I’mma hitch a ride with Tori. Got some errands to run,” Tommy looked at Glenn who was holding his shoulder.
“You coming back home?” Donnie asked, glancing at me.
Tommy nodded, “Yeah. Don’t be surprised if she’s with me and make sure Hazel and Lexi are there tonight.”
I was surely looking like a little weasel at that moment. My tongue was so tied and I couldn’t figure out what Tommy was up to.
We watched the guys leave and Tommy leaned over, “You’re gonna have to play along better than that, Tori.”
“I don’t even want to be here!” I protested, stomping my feet.
Tommy chuckled, rubbing his chin, the stubble forming already from a few days of no maintenance.
“You always throw tantrums like this?”
I frowned, “You have no soul.”
He leaned in to me again, running his hands down my arms and back up again, settling his large, veiny hands on my thin shoulders
“Tori, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.”
Tommy
She was kinda cute throwing that little fit of hers.
I enjoyed watching her body wiggle while she did it. I always wondered what she looked like naked.
“I can’t go to your place, Tommy, my dad will kill me!” Tori was telling me as we got into her car.
I shrugged, “No, he won’t. You need friends. I’ve got friends for you.”
Tori huffed, “I don’t need fake friends, Tommy!”
“You’ll like Lexi and Hazel. I promise.”
Tori glared at me. She really enjoyed doing that.
“I don’t trust your promises.”
She started the car, “Where are we going?”
“I just need to go to the store.”
“With my money?”
“With OUR money, ” I chuckled, knowing how much I was pissing her off.
“You’re insane,” she was mumbling as we headed out to the main drag, “I shouldn’t even be doing this. I should be going home, making myself a sandwich, downing a Coke, curling up in the bed with a, -”
“s*x novel?”
Tori blushed, “I loathe you.”
“No, you don’t.”
“Don’t tell me how I feel!”
I sighed. She certainly wasn’t making this easy, but I loved a challenge.
Tori
He had me stop at a convenience store.
“Pull in over there. Not in a spot–right there in front of the exit. Keep the car running. It’s cold out here,” he rushed into the building.
I thought about running him over and fleeing the scene, but that would stay on my conscience forever. Besides, he told me that I was safer with him.
He wasn’t lying. The police were still talking to me about the robbery and Tommy knew that.
Suddenly, he was back in the car, tossing the bags on the floor
“Go! Go! Go!”
“What?!” I sped off, but I didn’t even know where I was going. I couldn’t breathe, but my adrenaline kept me alert and attentive to the road and my driving.
“Turn left, Tori!” His husky voice demanded of me.
“It’s a red light, -”
“Turn!”
I barely missed the semi barreling down the road, but I ran the light and he laughed. Tommy Knox f*****g laughed.
“What the hell?” I gasped.
“You’re a good getaway driver, Loomis. A little jittery, but pretty sure of yourself.”
I slammed on brakes and pulled over.
“Did you just rob that store?! Did you use me?!”
Tommy laughed like a maniac and I put the car in park so I could pummel him.
“Ow!” He laughed harder, “You can hit too!”
He grabbed my hands and pulled me into him, which I was getting so used to that half expected him to smash his lips into mine. I don’t think I would have fought him off.
“I didn’t rob it,” he said, his gorgeous smile leaving his gorgeous face, “I promise.”
He let go of me and dug into the bags, handing me a Coke and a candy bar.
“Let’s go to the park,” he said, calmly.
As I’m holding the items, I probably looked like a damn fool with my mouth hanging open. Tommy opened his drink and chugged it.
“What? You don’t like the park?”
“What are you playing at? I could have hit that truck! I could have, -”
Tommy shook his head, unwrapping a honey bun, “But you didn’t.”
I was dumbfounded, but here I was. Sitting on the side of the road with a lunatic.
Tommy
That was fun.
There were so many things I was going to do to this girl. The excitement was growing inside of me like a hard on–which I was oddly getting after she ran the red light and started beating me.
I liked my girls with some backbone and she definitely had that.
“Let’s just go up to the park,” I said, “Unless you want to go back to my place and spend the afternoon with my boys.”
I could tell she didn’t want to do that.
“I have to let my dad know, -”
I shook my head, “Why?”
She sighed, “He’s overprotective.”
I knew why and I knew what happened to her mother. I also knew they never found the person who mugged, assaulted and murdered her two years prior.
“You walk dogs and babysit?”
“Yeah? So?”
“Let me take care of this,” I pulled out my phone and called Lexi, “Hey, Lexi! You owe me a favor. I got my girl Tori here and she’s gonna need you to vouch for her as a dog sitter for your pups. Tonight and tomorrow probably. Yeah. I’ll let you know later. Thank you very much, hot stuff. ”
Tori’s mouth would have fallen off and I wouldn’t have been shocked.
“Done.”
“You’re, -”
“Tori’s knight in shining armor!” I motioned ahead, “Take us to the park, speedy!”
