When Nathan walked into the ward, Simona was already a little awake and vaguely heard footsteps. Her tired eyelids gently pulled apart, and she saw a tall and familiar figure.
She moved, trying to support herself, only to find that she was already in someone's arms.
She murmured "husband" in her mouth, and her soft body leaned into his arms comfortably.
Nathan picked up the water glass next to her, and a gentle voice rang above her, "Simona, get up and drink some water."
Simona took a sip, and she was completely awake now. She raised her blinking eyes which seemed to be filled with a soft smile.
"ho-honey ..."
"I'm here."
Simona squinted at the man, looked around, and saw that all was a clean white, and there was a faint smell of disinfectant in her breath.
