Destined Mate

Chapter 7

I wake up with Adam's arm wrapped around my waist, and Bentley between us. I push him away and he turns over staying asleep. I hear a cry of pain and I shoot straight up.

Before I can even think of what it was I hear it again. I push the covers off and swing my feet around. I get out of bed, but freeze feeling a little hand grab my arm. "Mommy what was that?"

I turn to look at a wide eye Bentley, who clearly heard it too. "I don't know baby, but I'm going to go check it out." I say stepping away from her and putting on a sweatshirt and sweatpants being cold.

"Wait, you should take Adam with you." She says worried. I shake my head at her.

"He is sleeping, I should be fine." I say heading to the door. I hear a groan and someone jump up.

"What's wrong?" Adam asks concerned. I groan turning around to look at Bentley.

"Now he isn't." She grins. I roll my eyes and look to my brother. He looks at me confused.

"What's wrong?"

"I heard something and wanted to check it out. Bentley doesn't want me to go with out you."

"I trust you. If you need me just mind link me, or if you don't come back or I don't hear from you soon I will come find you." He says sitting on the bed. I nod my head opening the door.

"Thank you." I say over my shoulder before I close the door for me. I hear the cry again and follow the sound. I sniff the air and smell blood. I follow it until I reach a room to one of the small offices. I stop taking in a deep breath before I want to barge in there. I smell this amazing smell though, it's masculine with the hint of honeydew. It's mixed with the Blue Moon pack's scent, but that's not as strong as the others'.

I feel someone behind me and turn around to be face to chest with someone. I look up and my mouth drops as I look up to Isaac's face.

'MATE!' My wolf practically shouts (but they can't really talk incase you are wondering). s**t! That means he was right.

"What are-" I stop him covering his mouth with my hand. I ignore the tingles and stick to the task at hand.

"Get off of me!" I hear a voice shout.

"No! Your coming with me." Another voice growls. I hear a thud along with something breaking and a scream of pain. I release his mouth and yank the doors open.
