We had decided to go back to the city after a failed mission.
According to Miss Ma, we needed to prepare and make correct calculations before setting out again to find her, and she was right.
Just delving into the search without proper planning could put her in further danger and there were not enough men or weapons at our disposal right now.
The people who worked for her complained bitterly at the sudden change in her attitude towards almost everything.
They went on missions. Important missions but the preparation wasn’t as strict as this they’d told me.
One even made a statement that didn’t quite sit well with me.
“Maybe Miss Laila is her long-lost family or daughter”, he’d said
