~Denzel Laurent froze halfway to the door. “Who could that be?” he muttered. I didn’t say anything. I just looked around for a hiding spot. Ivelle was already wide-eyed, her hands clutching the blanket she’d been sitting on. “Hide,” Laurent said, low and even. She ducked behind the cupboard again, folding herself in badly.
