16 BLACK WAGONS The morning dawned bleak and cold as they crossed the border into Wyotis. Despite being at the southernmost part of Dinia, it’d only taken them seven hours to get there from where they’d parted with Grale at Neathin Valley. Thordric had rested for most of the journey along with Hamlet and Kal, but Lyanis stayed up with Ourellus in deep conversation. The magic they needed from Wyotis differed from the others in that it was a human magic, like that of wizard magic in Dinia. The last time Lyanis had been to Wyotis, there had been five tribes populating the land, each one a thousand strong and terribly ferocious. All five had been led by children born with a strong magic that allowed them to protect their tribe from enemies, for the tribes battled constantly with each other
