Two: Karma isn't enough.

After that incident with the stranger I knew I couldn't go back to my restaurant job any more, that marked my end of working there, I was sure of it. For I knew that my boss wouldn't allow me to work there anymore, and I myself wasn't ready to go back to such again. So for that, I managed to keep up with my other two jobs as a janitor in a small business firm and my sales job at a convenient store. For once I was glad I had them. I was working three jobs for over six months now just to get by, but still Iife hasn't been that easy even with them as my mom's dialysis treatment took up most of the money I earned from them. But the both jobs as well didn't have much different from my restaurant job. At the small business firm, I was constantly being molested verbally and pressured by my manager who had throwed so many advances at me both directly and indirectly just so he could have his way with me. Although I was poor but my beauty was something everyone including I myself, knew about. But I have constantly rejected all his advances at me, and for that he decided to make my life there unbearable with his raining of critics and background insults on how incompetent I was in my job even though I wasn't. I would sometimes go about mopping a particular spot for hours as they were not sparkling clean as he wants. I have thought about quitting but the only thing that kept me still in this hell called job was to that it had the most pay among the other two... well one now. As for my convenient store job, it was less harsh from my boss, Mrs Lee. I didn't had any issues except for my antagonistic colleagues —Ginny and Amie. Theirs was jealousy and resentment towards me for reason I myself don't quite know about. And now that Mrs Lee was out of town, their resentment and hateful comments towards me got more worse. But I manage to get by with them by ignoring them even though a part of me ninety percent of time felt like to beat them to a pop. "Hey b***h," Amie called out to me in her usual rude way, but as that wasn't my name I refused to answer. "Oh wait you don't get to call her that", Ginny said mockingly. "What's that her awful name again" they both asked each other purely to aggrevate me even more. "A-li what now? ahhh the name can't even roll of my mouth because of how awful it is, " Amie mocked. "Call it G," she said to Ginny. Making a caricature face as she tried pretending to remember. "Yes I remember. What that name again? A-li-cia." " Didn't you hear your stupid name? Get up we are about to lock up. Or don't tell me you want to infect the store with your presence even more?! Amie roared out yanking me up to my feet. " Hey don't you ever touch me like that again!" I growled at her. Pretending to be scared at my outburst, they both let out a loud antagonistic laugh at me. " So you have fangs now. Let's see where that will lead you out there tonight." Ginny said out. Frustrating by their sight I didn't put meaning to those words as I took my tout bag beside were I was sitting and went off deliberately hitting my shoulder at Amie."Why you filthy b..." I heard her scoffed out but Ginny held her back from chasing at me as I left. As I walked half mile away from the store, tears started building up my eyes as I was sick and tried of getting treated like that by both of them and everybody else. I was tried of my life entirely at that point, and the more the tears rolled out my eyes no matter how hard I tried to keep them in, I felt something bitter building up my chest. Rage was all I could now feel, and the more I felt it the more it turned into something else. I tried fighting the feeling off but I knew I couldn't. That feeling of when you have had enough on people's maltreatment towards you that all you want to do is to make them to feel the same, make them to have a taste of their own medicine. Revenge. But I wiped my tears off knowing I had no power to, I could only rely on karma to catch up with them. As I consoled myself with this, suddenly I heard steps following me from behind. It was a lonely alley I was now walking on, and it felt unusual because I have always ply on this road almost every night while on my way to home. It was mostly I walking on this alley every night, so hearing other footsteps behind didn't feel okay at all, it spelt great danger. I tried increasing my pace to see if the footsteps would continue walking normal as I hoped it was a harmless stranger walking along with me, but it wasn't as the footsteps increased it paced too the more I did. My heart was panting frantically now. 'Who are these people and what do they want from me?' I asked myself in my head feeling more scared. At that point the only instinct that came to mind was survival, and so I started to run as fast as I could. But whoever was behind me had fast legs too, for the more I ran the more they did. And eventually they caught up with me. Now on the floor as I was knocked off to the shrubs by the roadside, I saw five hooligans staring nastily at me. "You could really do well in the Olympics than a*****e with that running skill of yours," one of them spoke. "You really are as beautiful as they say," one of them who I suspected was the leader among them spoke as he crouched to my level. "Yeah she is. Now I see where the jealousy came from." One of them blurted out, but was smacked on the head by the other three." Shut up bro, you gonna give us away with your loud mouth." At that moment I realised in horror who had sent them as Ginny's words earlier registered back to me. 'So this was how far their hatred towards me has gone, to the point of sending hooligans at me', I thought within myself. Disappointment was far from what I felt as they didn't mean anything to me for me to feel that way, instead I was mad at myself for not seeing this coming, and for staying long enough to let it reach to this extent. At that point I knew karma isn't enough now. "We are sure going to have so much fun with you," the leader said as he touched some strangs of my hair. "What are you going to do with me? I asked fighting the fear within me. " I think it should be the other way round instead, which is, what are we not gonna do to you? one among the three earlier said, as they all laughed menacely. "Who wants to go in first?" The leader asked. The one that had a loud mouth came up happily. "Ohhh allow me to do the honours", he said as he reached out to his pants to unzip as he crawled down to me. "Ahhhh. You witch!" He yelled as I landed a huge rock on face. Now staggering to the others, I rose to my feet hastily as I run away. "Get her! you assholes!" the leader roared out as the other three chased out after me.
