When I opened my eyes, what greeted me was the dark room. I was alone. I didn’t get up and instead reached for the blinds’ remote on the side table. I lazily pressed it when I got hold of it. I stared at the blinds that were slowly parting from covering the glass roof. When the sky finally appeared, I rolled my eyes because there wasn’t a single star. It looked like it was going to rain later because the sky was cloudy. Even the full moon was only half-visible. The other half was covered by clouds.
“This weather makes my house worthless. I didn’t come here for night cloud gazing.” I gritted my teeth.
