CHAPTER 2
Alena POV
The beautiful stranger stares at something over my shoulder for a moment. It feels like the music stops as his eyes lock on mine again. This eerie fellings crawls up my arms as I start to turn around to see what he's looking at. He looks like he's seen a ghost.
“Deal.”
He catches me off guard by the determination in his voice.
He wraps his arms around my waist and it feels like every cell in my body is vibrating with the beat of the song as he studies my eyes. His own pupils dilate.
“Move with me, but don’t touch me,” he whispers as I hold my breath. He turns me around and presses himself against my back. I feel confused until his hands slowly rest on my hips. I awkwardly put my hands against my sides shivering when my bare skin touches his briefly. He goes rigid.
I hold my breathe but then he slowly starts to move against me and I try to focus as I follow his movements.
“You’ve never danced like this before?” He asks against my ear and I feel goosebumps run down my back as his breath strokes my skin. The back of my head was postioned to rest against his chest and as I swallowed hard it bobbed. He was ridiculously tall and too intimidating. What the hell was I thinking?
“No, never,” I say truthfully and look at him over my shoulder. His dark eyes flicker between mine and I feel the blush creeping into my cheeks. His eyes didn't give anything away. Well this is freaking embarrassing!
He pushes harder against my hips, “Fake it then, he’s watching us! Put your arm around my neck and move your hips,” he says against my ear, each breath still carresing me in a way that it felt like I was on fire.
“I thought you said I can’t touch you,” I quickly replied as I wrap my one arm around his neck and entwined our fingers with the other. For a moment he just goes rigid. His eyes flicker into the crowed again and his brow furrows in confusion as he looks down at me. I just look at him and it feels like the music stops as we breathe together. our chest rising and falling in sink.
“He has to believe that you want me and I want you.” his voice has gone dangerously low and I slowly nod. I was terrified this moment would dissapear. That I was just stuck in a daydream.
I feel his heartbeat through his shirt against the back of my head and I wonder what he's hinking.
He was ridiculously beautiful like the main character of every fantasy novel I have ever read. I push my imagination aside before I start comparing him to every fictional boy I’ve ever loved and try to focus. This was actually happening!!!
We move together and the song picks up speed and I realize it’s ‘MOVE WITH ME by the Locals only sound, GRYNN Remix 'and laugh at how ridiculous this whole situation is. As he squeezes my fingers I look up at him again and see he’s still watching me. But his stare is different.
“If I’m making you uncomfortable just say so,” he says as he runs one of his hands down the side of my body. I don’t break eye contact as he slowly turns me around and slides his leg between mine.
“Is this ok?”
“Yes.”
He slowly grinds against me and I feel something pressing against my stomach as I wrap my arms around his neck. Was that? OH MY WORD!
“Sorry,” he whispers against my ear and his eyes move between mine. Not a hint of embarrassment.
“Don’t worry about it, contact with skin can be intense I know!” I say stupidly and die of embarrassment when he actually laughs. I try to move out of his grip but he holds me tighter.
“You sound so I don't know? Like you've never been intimate?”
“And you're intense!” I word vomit and he chuckles and bends his head and gently runs his lips over my bare shoulder.
I have never moved like this in my entire life and the strange heat starting to build in my core made every breath feel like my life line. I bite my lip as his intense gaze goes to my throat. Then he bends his head and his lips are touching me again. My neck feels like it’s on fire with the soft kisses he trails over my pulse. I feel the brush of something sharp. He runs his teeth over my jaw and I grip his hair between my fingers pulling him closer. He presses his forehead against mine and the song starts to build softly making this so much more intense, I almost break the soul tying gaze.
“Sorry I shouldn’t have done that, but you taste and smell so f*****g good,” he says and I don’t know what comes over me as I softly kiss his cheek and study the way his eyes flicker to my lips. I run my fingers through his hair.
“He’s still watching, who is he?” He suddenly says and I snap out of it remembering this is all an act. I take a deep breath and nod trying to get my mind to focus. I swallow hard enough that his eyes flicker to my throat again.
“My ex-boyfriend's older brother, he wants to put me back in the box I thought I escaped from.”
He tilts his head and runs his hands down my back and grabs my ass. What the hell? I tense and know my eyes must be as big as golf balls.
“Well let’s make it clear that you are mine... for tonight,” he says and then I shake my head. My mind starts to image me and how stupid I must look. Do I even look sexy? Or do I look like I’m just jumping him? I close my eyes and once again I word vomit.
“I.. I don’t know how to do this!”
“What?”
“Be sexy?”
“YES!”
He suddenly bursts out laughing louder this time as if he couldn’t control it and I feel so irritated and turned on at the same time. What is wrong with me? This is a total stranger! A soft voice whispers in the back of my mind that this is something you would never have done. The scary thing about life is that you're never in control, but you get some moments where it feels like you are. I wanted to control this moment. I wanted to take this moment and make it mine. I wanted to make my own decision. I wanted to make my own mistakes. He starts to move slower again and I search his face and then I do something I will take to my grave. I grab his bottom lip between my teeth as I pull him closer. I slowly let it go and he raises both of his brows, surprise washing over his face.
“It’s not funny!” I say and almost die of embarrassment, but then his lips are on mine.
